Hotel Martelli, hotel in Settignano

Hotel Martelli is housed in an elegant, historic building which once belonged to Florentine nobles. Both the Cathedral and Firenze Santa Maria Novella Train Station are 200 metres away.

Great location, about five minutes away from the Santa Maria Novella train station and the same from the Firenze duomo. Good breakfast spread but also lots of bars and restaurants nearby which open early and stay open late.

    Great value for the price.

Great value for the price. The room was very unique and spacious. The staff was great, the hotel owner even came to our room at midnight to kill a spider we saw. It is quite far from the city center of Florence, however, a bus comes every 20 minutes or so to a nearby bus stop. The views were amazing, the only negative was the distance to Florence.

Away from the hustle and bustle of the city - but only a single bus ride away. 3 times an hour through the day. Fairly tranquil village, traditional in the best sense. A couple of bar/cafe/restaurant options - but limited. Pharmacy, Deli, no nightclubs - yay!
