If you travel by car, Scarlino is a very nice place to stay. Our holiday village was in the foot of the hill and it was very convenient to travel to the nearby beaches of Follonica. The village of Scarlino on the top of the hill is very charming. It's a small medieval village. The best part of Scarlino by far is the restaurant Al Convento. The terrace is in the yard of an old monastery and it has the best view over the area, a breathtaking landscape with mountains on one side and the sea and the near islands of Elba and Corsica on the other. The food and the staff are also fantastic.
Great place! I would recommend for both families and couples. The location is perfect to reach different beaches with short drive and other nearby spots. The Castello di Scarlino on top of the hill/mountain right next to the location is really beautiful and worth a visit to have a spectacular view of both Tuscany countryside and sea. Special thanks to the restaurant staff and entertainment team, you always shared a smile and good energy. The restaurant food was very nice and with good variety.
Amazing setting overlooking the sea and forests. Room was exceptional with super comfy bed, lovely furniture, antique rugs and bathroom with sunken bath. Creative and unusual design not the usual bland hotel. Breakfast on the lovely terrace. Juice, fruit, yoghurts, eggs cooked to order, cheese and ham etc. We had lunch there one day and dinner every night. Staff super friendly and helpful. Some cute dogs around. Lovely natural swimming pool shaded by umbrellas and olive trees.
The appartment is located over a good reastaurant of tuscan food and also very close to the center of Scarlino. Our appartment had an amazing view from the balcony - to the mountaings and the sea. There is a private parking for the guests of the appartments. Our flat was spacious, with a dinner room and a separate bedroom. Everything was perfectly clean. Style is quite a mix of contemporary and traditional elements of tuscan houses, but in general very nice.
A very nice modern camp/glamp in a hilly landscape. Great location if you travel by car (15-20 minutes away from lovely Punta Ala beaches as well as from Massa Maritima or Follonica if you want to eat out). Scarlino on the hill offers amazing views and atmosphere.
Our kids also loved the program delivered by the animators. The pool & huge slide on the camp premises were also a perfect passtime!

Wonderful accommodation set high up on the hills just below Scarlino. Room very comfortable, breakfast was fantastic and the owner extremely helpful and friendly. We forgot a pair of sunglasses in the room and he immediately contacted us.

Communication with the hosts was perfect. Location is beautiful and easy drive to beaches! Scarlino is a lovely città with an amazing castle. The Da Balbo ristorante served an excellent dinner with a view. We also enjoyed hot tub. The apartment was very clean and quiet.
