The view from the balcony was stunning. It's situated outside Assisi, so it's a bit of a distance if you plan to walk, but it's worth it for the view and tranquility. There's also a bus service.

I love St Francis of Assisi so this was wonderful for me. It is also one of my favorite places /towns during my 5 weeks in Italy and Sicily. I actually gave up going to Florence to come here and I'm glad I did .

Staying in the area a few hundred meters from the railway station (not up the hill in the city cento) was an absolute win. The bnb has a lovely big terrace with easy chairs and tea and coffee making facilities and a really good host, Giuseppe, who was accommodating in every regard. The breakfast is in the nearby piazza where the pastry selection is awesome.
The splendid Santa Maria degli Angeli cathedral is one block away and the bus to go up the hill to the other sights and shops is regular, close by and easy to take.
