I've stayed at the Barbieri twice before and I had a room with a balcony and a view of the Old Town. This time I was given a room with no view. The staff were kind enough to move me to a room with a window which had a partial view of the Old Town. The Barbieri's closeness to town is a real plus.
With sea views, Casamuseo del Risorgimento is situated in Lungro and has a restaurant, a 24-hour front desk, bar, garden, sun terrace and outdoor fireplace.

We really love small old italian towns build centuries ago high in the mountains. San Donato is excellent example - has its own atmosphere, is a bit away from the main routes and you clearly feel that it is a hometown for local people rather than a "tourist focused" destination.
