This is a small village along the road that connects Pistoia with Empoli. If you have a car, you can easily reach Pistoia, Florence, Lucca and Pisa. Not ideal place without a car. There are a few restaurants and a mini-market but not much else.

The location was perfect, right in the middle of different Tuscany cities to visit. It was right on the mountain which means we had an amazing view. The swimming pool was very nice and relaxing, the rooms were comfortable, and the breakfast exceeded our expectations with many vegetarian options. Our host, Rachele, was very friendly and attentive to our needs.

The room was spacious, comfortable and clean. Unfortunately it didn't have a balcony like other rooms but this was expected. Air conditioning was present but used only occasionally. Nights are cool in San Baronto and the ceiling fans were enough to sleep comfortably. The swimming pool on the top floor was nice and the view from there was beautiful.
The room was huge. The beds were good. But there was this smell in the rooms that made it anything but romantic. I would not prefere a cheap perfume that covers everything but better airing and cleaning. Otherwise the hotel was quite ok and had a good sleep. I am sure that in summer it's a lot better.
I like the staying is located on a hill with a fantastic view, the landscapes around the location were beautiful. The owners were great hosts who make your stay splendid and are always attentive to your needs. The dinner was really amazing I was impressed with that Tuscany menu.
The hotel is located most perfectly in the town, and has tremendous views. Rachele is the perfect hostess and seems to do everything herself and takes care of everyone there. Her personality alone makes the place worth a stay!
