It is hot across Europe now.
It is hot across Europe now. I like to motorcycle to the mountains to get away to do a little shopping and spend a night or two in an Italian hotel. I look for AIR CONDITIONING and this was the first and only Italian hotel I have stayed in the many years I have been vacationing here, where the aircon existed, and was working properly. LOVELY place. It is not about luxurious travel- for that you pay 4 or 5 times more. This place is really about the luxury of having everything right, clean, by friendly truly helpful staff. I love this place and I will return soon. I was encouraged to drive a half hour into the mountains to eat in a very good restaurant which specialises in local cuisine. This was a perfect destination and getaway. The mountains all around (to 4000 metres) and the tiny town of 12 inhabitants made my trip perfect. That was a very special tip and is much appreciated.
- saint-pierre is a very good location for day trips in the several Aosta side valleys
- the new appartement (basement and first floor) is located in the centre of saint-pierre and different shops, bakery, butcher & restaurants can be reached by foot in a few minutes
- a private car parking is directly in front of the appartement
- the appartement is equipped with everything you need on a high quality level
- Chantal (landlord) was very friendly, helpful and always available in case of any questions
I really liked location and the feel of the hotel. Decently sized rooms and bathrooms, super clean and comfy (hard-ish) beds. Lovely breakfast! And I loved all the staff working there - they are so friendly and helpful!! I would hope that rooms get a bit of an upgrade soon, especially in terms of the colors chosen for the room walls which are a but dark and depressing. But other than that my stay was wonderful. And the view from the breakfast room is amazing!
Spacious, clean rooms, Nice breakfast. Friendly and helpful staff. Free parking in front of the hotel. Not far from Aosta. Excellent restaurant "Dal Fornaro del Castello" with delicious pizzas visible from the hotel windows and 5 minutes walk. Nice view from the hotel balcony and windows towards the Saint-Pierre Castle and the mountains. at 7.30 I woke up from the ring of bells at the church nearby, but that was beautiful melody, not just ding-dong.
We used this hotel for an overnight stop travelling from Italy to UK. It was perfect for this purpose, with a large room (we have two dogs), a fridge, table and chairs both inside the room and on the balcony. We had stairs direct to the courtyard where we could unload and reload the car very close to the bottom of those stairs. The room was lovely and warm and the bed comfortable.
A very beautiful decorated hotel, with a lot of antique stuff. The hotel looks like a museum. Each room has its own concept and also nicely decorated. We had a balcony and a view to mountains and a castle. The breakfast was amazing: a lot to eat, different kinds of local food, very tasty food and very good coffee. Wi-fi worked well. The hotel has own parking for two cars.
Nice and very helpful staff. The hotel is located in the small village of Saint-Pierre with small cafes, gelaterias pharmacy, and similar shops. This is also the most perfect location in Aosta valley and you are able to reach all the ski areas like La Thuile, Cervinia, Pila, and Courmayeur.
Free parking just across the street.
just arrived, we said we choose their hotel cause of huge shower and owner give us the room with the biggest shower available. Hotel is on the mainway, with good parking and a lot of restaurants are near. Breakfast is good. As always the real difference is made by people and the attention they use to give to guests.
The hotel looks recently renovated, but it keeps its old and authentic character.
The room was big, with a surprisingly nice view on the castle.
The bathroom was awesome, with big walk in and modern rain shower.
The staff was very friendly and the breakfast was fresh and home made (abundant for Italian standard).
The staff were really nice and friendly, the room was clean. They asked us in the evening what we wanted for breakfast, and in the morning when we came everything was ready - which was totally amazing. The hotel's own small parking area was in the inner courtyard, so we felt really safe about the car.
