FAQs about hotels in Rimini

Playground of the Adriatic

A longtime favourite holiday destination of Italians, Rimini is all about the beach. And with almost 10 miles of sand, it’s easy to see why. It is said that there are 1000 Rimini hotels, and while that might be a slight exaggeration, this Adriatic playground does have more than just sun, sand and glorious sea.

The food is fantastic. Well, this is Italy after all. With some of the best nightlife in Italy, Rimini has a wealth of bars with dance floors, many by the beach, and the next door town of Riccione is a clubbing mecca.

Family-orientated Rimini attractions include the dolphinarium and the Italy in Miniature and Fiabilandia theme parks. A few miles south of Rimini Miramare Airport is Oltremare, a zoo-turned-amusement park located next to Aquafan, a huge water park that becomes a nightclub with foam parties.

For silence and shade, head to Borgo San Giuliano, an area of the town with pastel-painted houses and pedestrian streets. There are also remnants of the town’s Roman past to explore: Tiberius bridge, the Roman arch and the 3rd-century Surgeon’s House.

The colonnades of the Old Fish Market make a pleasant spot for a drink before heading back to your Rimini apartment, hotel or B&B. See Booking.com for the best offers.

Didn't visit the beach (November!, but not that interested anyway) but central Rimini was full of the best of Italy - historic locations, nice bars/cafes, excellent restaurants, good shopping - all within a compact city centre. Perfect for a short break of 1/2 days.

Much more charming than I had anticipated! The Roman ruins are interesting, the Malatestiano has a lovely Piero, lots of piazzas and fun streets. A walk through the Borgo to see the colorful houses and street art was really enjoyable.

I have travelled to Rimini a few times and always enjoyed my visits. I love the indoor market, purely to look around and see what the locals are out to buy for their meals. The old town is also worth a visit and a stop at one of the lovely restaurants. If you are lucky a direct flight into Rimini will make your travel experience even more pleasurable.

The city suffered a lot during WW2, 80-90% of its buildings were destroyed. That's why it is not the most interesting city to visit in Italy. Still, it has sandy beaches and some historical landmarks like Tempio Malatestiano and Arco di Augusto. The city museum is also a good place to visit.

Rimini is a great base for exploring the local region, including Ravenna, San Marino and Bologna, as well as being a great beach location for relaxation and some beach time. Public transport connections are excellent and reliable. The Old Town of Rimini offers a great day our for exploring or sitting and watching the world go by in a cafe whilst enjoying local cuisine with a glass of wine. The park by the Ponte Di Tiberio (Tiberius Bridge) is a lovely place to sit in the sun or walk around. The month of September is the tail end of the beach season in Rimini and many of the beach attractions start to close from the middle on the month, so if you're just visiting for the beach scene, then consider the peak summer months or early September to get the full benefit.

Rimini had a bit of a reputation as being a party place a few years ago. You can still find the night clubs, discos and bars, but there is another side to the city too. I loved the area of San Giuliano with it's wonderful restaurants, bars and small shops plus the colourful houses with Fellini inspired murals. Roman monuments are dotted around Rimini and the piazza's are charming. Very impressed with the Frederico Fellini museum, the Romagnoli are very warm people who love to show their passion for life. Excellent seafood and the famous piadina's and superb local wine. Rimini has a little bit of something for everyone and is ideal for families and a base to visit other towns on the coast.

The hotel has a great location- just a few steps away from the beach and Rimini beach promenada. There are nice cafes, restaurants and shops near it. The hotel itself serves food- but we haven't tried it. We stayed at a triple room with a big terrace which we really appreciate. The hotel is at a 25-minute walk to the train station and the old town. However, we have come for the sea and enjoyed our walks along the beach promenada.

Placed practically ON the beach! Beautiful view from the seaview room, watching the sunrise from the balcony was supernice! Breakfast was amazing, had the biggest buffet we’ve seen. By far the best breakfast buffet in Italy ‘till now! Pool was nice and clean! Closed a bit early though. Clean room/bathroom, no bugs! Super cheap and great pizza place next door! Parking was pretty close!

Excellent location for transport, buses, taxis and only 200 or 300 hundred yards to the Train Station. Room was very quiet, and a very big comfortable bed. The breakfast was fine. All the staff we dealt with were very friendly, and helpful. The hotel is also only a short walk to the old town. Would definitely recommend this hotel if you choose not to stay on the beach front.
