The town is entirely aimed at tourists and, as a result, while there are many decent restaurants, there are very few typical Italian trattorie and, unless you have a car, food shopping opportunities are limited. On a more positive note there are regular boats to other towns around the lake and Verona is only a fifteen minute train ride away.
For those who like themeparks, Peschiera is very close to Gardaland (Italy's equivalent to Alton Towers)

Our trip was in November and just out of season so the lake Garda ferries had stopped and many attractions were closed mid-week
The restaurants and shops were open and not too crowded which was a bonus.
The lake shore was beautifully silent and tranquil a lovely place to walk and sit before a leisurely lunch

Oriana and her family were just lovely and spoke English...
Oriana and her family were just lovely and spoke English well enough to direct us on our short walk into town and call us taxis when required. They also helped out with a 2 pin plug for our mobiles which we forgot to bring, relief!! Orina helped out with Gardaland opening times and anything else we needed during our stay. The location was perfect , near the railway station, where you can also catch buses, and 10 mins into the town centre. Loads ristorantes around, we really enjoyed ourselves and gratefully for us Scots, the room had efficient air con. Lots of room, clean and modern. Thanks for having us.

We arrived by train after staying in venice. Easy journey between towns. We decided to stay here because the train stops here. Town was lovely with lots of restaurants and gorgeous views of thd lake.

It's a lovely town with really good transport links on the train and ferry. We also visited Bardalino, Lazise and Sirimone, I found all these town much more prettier than Peschiera del Garda and would stay in one of these places if I ever visited again. Sirimone was beautiful but really busy.

Great breakfast with lots of delicious fresh fruit.You can walk from the hotel along the border of the lake to Peschiera del Garda following a pedestrian path. The hotel exceeds definitely the 2 stars rating on the website !
A great resort with everything you need to enjoy your holiday, all in one place.
There are plenty of pools to enjoy, all of which are clean with sun loungers and shaded areas.
There are also random play areas scattered around the resort, which kept the kids entertained.
There is easy access to the Lake, as well as the town of Peschiera del Garda.
The unit was compact but clean.
Everything was perfect! The appartament is well equipped with everything you need for cooking and keeping it and your belongings clean. Heating perfectly quick & efficient. Location just 7 mins walk from the city centre and the lake. Parking comfortable. The hosts Anna & Albino were very much welcoming. I have enjoyed it and would like to return on some time again.

Perfect gem of accommodation. Location excellent, 10 mins to train station, lake, old town and restaurants and 2 mins to supermarket. Breakfast selection excellent, host very friendly and attentive, large family room cleaned daily. Good air con and blinds to keep out heat and noise. Comfy beds, lovely pool.
Convenient to the train station and not in the noisy town center, the room was large, the bed comfortable, and the mini kitchen useful.
