Borgo Vecchio Locanda di Charme, was everything we could wish for. We travelled 4 couples and stayed in this wonderful location for 4 nights. Spacious comfortable and clean rooms with terrific views towards the west and the sunset over the Barbaresco vineyards. We were welcomed by sweet and service minded Angelica who really made an effort for us to feel welcome and cared for. She had informed us well about Parking for the car, she arranged e-bikes for us in advance and given us plenty of restaurant recommendations. It meant we did not waste a single moment of our vacation days. Just like we wanted. We had wonderful Italian breakfast varied day by day, felt like visiting family. Neive is a small charming wine village with several high class restaurants 5 minutes from the hotel. We plan as a group to go again and we will stay at the Borgo Vecchio for sure!
Villa Lauri is a small hotel set 10 minutes' walk from the centre of Neive. It offers an outdoor pool and a terrace with views of the surrounding vineyards.

We had a wonderful stay at Laura e Aldo's.
The room &facilities: The room was very comfortable and had all the amenities you might need. The bed was super comfy, we had plugs nearby, lamps on nightstands, a balcony and our bathroom was away from the bed, so any night trips to the loo weren't disturbing to the other person, plus the blinds that could make total darkness in the room made us sleep like babies. The room was spotless, and Laura made our bed every day, which meant when we got back, we enjoyed an organised and fresh room.
The area: Langhe is a beautiful area, and the B&B is surrounded by wineries and nature, with great views of the valley. It's located in a really quiet and pleasant area, and you can reach Neive by foot or car, enjoying beautiful scenery along the way.
The people: Both Laura and Aldo are absolutely wonderful people. They're very communicative, friendly and ready to help you have a wonderful stay. Both of them were very kind, they helped us find rental bikes, explained to us what we could do in the area, what they have around, and how life is in this region of Italy. Laura was very kind when prepping breakfast for us every morning, and we enjoyed the food and the chats we had.
We'd gladly stay here again, grazie mille Laura e Aldo, e stato un piacere!

When we arrived the host was there and very friendly. He has a nice coffee shop just downstairs from the room so we could stop by and have a little coffee and speak with him for a bit. The place is very traditional and has a great balcony with an incredible view.

One of the prettiest wine villages in the Barbaresco region (although they are all quite lovely). Surrounded by vineyards and excellent high quality local restaurants in the old centre. A couple of great pizza restaurants in the main village down the hill for when you want something a bit simpler. Many local wine villages to visit by car, although it is possible to walk via the “sentieri” paths if you can find a good map (not easy!). We walked to Barbaresco which was a lovely circular walk (about an hour and a half each way with lots of stops)

Neive is a small and beautiful hill town that is one of the main Barbaresco villages. There are a few decent restaurants in town. Also, has a few good wine bars. The countryside right outside town is great.

Neive is one of the nicest villages in Italy and the capital of Barbaresco wine (together with the Barbaresco village itself) which together with Barolo wine are among the two best red wines in Italy. Absolutely recommended for people loving the countryside, nature and good food & wine..

Nice hill side village.
Nice hill side village. However tourist beware that food , wine and accommodation are over priced for what is a nice but not marvellous location when compared to what is available in other parts of Italy. In hindsight I think we should have avoided this region of Piemont.

I loved the local Tajarine with mountain butter, with a glass of chilled roero arneis... It’s Italy at it’s best!

This is wine region heaven for anyone who appreciates real quality wines. It’s beautiful picturesque rolling hills are full of vines. The very character full grape variety Nebbiolo is widely grown in this area, with the best quality Barolo, Barbaresco wines produced. As well as robust reds, the white wine variety’s are definitely to be sampled, some of which are lesser known, but definitely deserve to be ranked very highly.
Enjoy the tranquility and savour the wines with local cheeses and magnificent foods.
Perfect for a our group on a brief wine and food stopover in Barbaresco / Piedmont.
Great location, good value rooms, excellent wine bar and good breakfast.
Friendly, helpful, gracious and kind staff, who went out of their way to help us find dinner reservations at a time when most dining options were closed.
Neive is in a perfect location for tasting and dining visits through Barbaresco and neighbouring areas of Piedmont, and hotel is in an excellent location within what is a very picturesque village.
We thoroughly enjoyed our much too short stay at L’Aromatario! The accommodations were lovely and our breakfasts were absolutely delicious! Catarina is the perfect hostess and made us feel completely at home during our visit. Our one regret is that we happened to be there the 2 nights their highly rated restaurant is closed during the week. Not to worry… just another reason for a return visit to the beautiful village of Neive and this magical property!
The location is magical, set among the vineyards of the surrounding area, the small town of Neive with it’s narrow cobbled streets is charming, and the property enjoys a prime position within the town, close to one of the town squares and near to local restaurants, of which there are a few, wedged between two churches, and views across the countryside through windows framed with Virginia Creepers, the picture is romantic and much of what you can expect.
We had a warm welcome by the owner, he showed us our room and helped us to carry our luggage to the room. The room was very clean, with plenty of towels, soups and even slippers. The balcony had a lovely view. The breakfast was really superb, the best we had served in Italy, It included coffee, hazelnut cake that was delicious, pastries, yogurt, toast and fruits.
The location was great, in the heart of historical Neive.
Antonella is the hostess you dream off! She is the personification of hospitality. She is very very friendly and provides you with everything you need. The breakfast is a treat and wonderful to enjoy outside in the shade. The location is clean and perfectly located to explore Piemonte. Several nice restaurants can be reached within a couple of minutes on foot in the historic center of Neive. Grazzie mille, Antonella!
From the moment we arrived to the time we left we were made to feel exceptionally welcomed. The room was just lovely. We had the junior suite which had its own terrace and looked directly onto the Neive. The surrounding viewpoint was outstanding. The breakfast was ample and fresh. Lovely cappuccino, all enjoyed on the terrace.
The room is as indicated in the advertisement and big enough for two. Bed was very good and we slept well despite the other topics below. There was salt, sugar and tea in the kitchen and one capsule to make one coffee. No other spices or oil etc.
One can walk to Neive (approx. 2 km), but this is along a street.
I loved my stay here. The property is beautiful and the rooms are very nice and clean, and breakfast is delicious. It feels like you are in the countryside, but is only a minute walk from the centre of Neive. The owner, Antonella, is so kind and friendly.
Margot is a really exceptional host, passionate and professional with the guest. The breakfast in the garden was rich and of highest quality, the room was beautiful. We have been in Piemonte for road cycling and Neive is ideal to explore the area.
everything was amazing!!!! the breakfast is not to be missed! the room was very recently renovated with taste and incredibly thoughtfully. perfect hotel to say in the piedmonte region and Neive is amazing.
Paolo is a great host and the place is set in the vineyards of Barbaresco. the rooms are spacious and very clean, great breakfast and very close to Neive. I’ll be back.
everything!!!! the location is stunning, the hotel was spotless clean, immaculately run and Benedetta the owner, is a fantastic host. and her breakfast was amazing.
