The location and apartments itself are amazing. Clean, the host provided a little breakfast that was handy to arrange for the kids in the morning. Heating was +++ in early April (it was +8 at night). There are some table games, toys for kids and a lovely garden to chill out.
We loved the views of the mountains on one side, and the medieval castle on the other (check visit dates, you can drop in to see the castle only 3-4 times per month).
The restaurant Venelia specializes in meat. Bisteka a la Fiorentina (steak) in many ways is 100 out of 100 :) it is 2 min far from apartment. Reservation is recommended.

Fabrizia, the host is really lovely and so welcoming, we loved meeting her and staying here. We had a whole flat/house for us and it was very cosy. The view from the balcony is simply spectacular. We had breakfast looking at the mountains and listening to the birds singing. There are loads of cats in any shape and form, wood, ceramic, stuffed, pictures, we so much enjoyed it. there was food in the cabinets and lovely cotton ironed lined on the beds.
There are plenty of little old villages to visit and less than 1 hour drive to Pisa and Lucca and 1/2 hours to Laspezia and the cinque terre.

Like in the comments I read before my booking I could verify that the reception was very nice and friendly. The breakfast was generous and good. The location was perfect to rest and relax and we enjoyed a lot the nature. I'm not sure if it is so quiet in the summer time too (??) but now in April it was excellent.

The accommodation is in the centre of the village close to all ammenities. There are some lovely places to eat.
Monti is an ideally located village from which to base yourself to explore the surrounding countryside which is spectacular and visiting the local castle and gaining insight into the past history of the region.
The village whilst not on the coast is only short drive and worth the effort.
