What a magnificent building, the rooms were spectacular, an old nunnery turned into a hotel with only 7 rooms and a fantastic place for functions. Rooms were fine, clean and comfortable, good shower, staff were friendly and spoke good English, we had several drinks on the 2nd floor terrace - very nice. Breakfast was good served by very nice ladies.

The service was amazing and super helpful throughout, on arrival we had lots of info about the city and recommendations for food which was very helpful. We absolutely loved our stay here!

Lecce dazzles every visitor offering one of Italy’s best preserved walled historic centres. Its wonders include tasteful traditional cuisine, rich wines, and charming shops. Located near the crystalline waters of both the Adriatic and Ionian beaches, it is a perfect base to explore the Salentine Peninsula.
Its origins are unclear, but it is believed that dates back to the 12th or 11th century BC, when Italic tribes founded a settlement nearby, which Romans later occupied and relocated to its current position. The pages of its history are filled by Byzantine rulers, several invasions, a Norman rebirth, and an annexation to the Kingdom of Sicily.
Its distinctive Baroque style is combined with well-preserved Roman remnants. Don’t miss the historic centre during sunset, when the light creates a perfect contrast between the blue sky and the mild-yellow colour of the limestone buildings. St Oronzo Square houses the Roman Amphitheatre, while the outstanding Holy Cross Basilica is a must. Don’t miss the magic of staying in a hotel or B&B in Lecce’s Old Town.
The city is serviced by the local railway station, while Brindisi Airport is 45 km away. Whether you’re searching for rural accommodation in the surroundings of Lecce, a resort on the nearby beaches, or a cosy guest house in the centre, check out the deals available on Booking.com.
It was my first time in Italy, and I loved Lecce. It was very beautiful, I could walk all day around the city and not get bored or tired. I loved everything about it. The city center was amazing, the food was very good and affordable. The people were very nice. The bars were open till late night hours. I stayed for two nights, and I think that it was enough.

Beautiful old city with amazing architecture.
Beautiful old city with amazing architecture. We were there for two days which was enough time to do a guided walk and also to do some sightseeing. Not much to do there apart from walking around and taking photos and eating but plenty of nice places to sit for a drink and food and prices were fairly cheap.

Lecce is a must visit location.
Lecce is a must visit location. Old town is amazing, and very lively unlike other old towns we had visited in Puglia. Maybe because it is a big city. Loads to see. And plenty of food options from local nonna to international standard fares. Get Baroque'd out. Unbelievable. And the papier mache sculptures are truly unbelievable. We were amazed to discover what we thought to be carved timber ceiling is actually papier mache at one of the churches. Visit one of the papier mache artisan shops for a close up look. Seeing the sunset from the Duomo's belltower is another sight worth doing. We enjoyed simply wandering around the old town both during the day as well as after sunset. We felt safe. Also try to get on a vineyard wine tour. Not well advertised but one of the operators we contacted said he was fully booked all the way til September, and we were there in May. Sample good locally produced wine and olive oil. We discovered how good their rosatos can be, using Primitivo and Negroamaro grapes. Lecce is also a good base to explore the Salento peninsula with it's amazing coastline, sea caves, stony beaches, and multiple towns which are short drives away.

Lecce is a lovely city to wander around and explore at leisure. It has an incredible collection of baroque churches and for €12 you can visit the most spectacular ones, especially the Basilica of Santa Croce which has an incredible facade. And you won’t go hungry as there are countless bars and restaurants.

We wholeheartedly recommend to take a guided tour to properly experience the historic city. Also, it is worth trying less touristy restaurants such as Da Mario for an authentic Leccesian cuisine, and ask for the homemade Amaro with the desert.

We stayed three nights, but I wish we'd stayed in Lecce longer. It's a gorgeous walkable city, very wheelchair friendly, unlike many towns in Europe and has amazing baroque architecture. I recommend the Museo Faggiano (although not wheelchair accessible) for those interested in history and Roman Empire artefacts.
Dimi House is a fantastic place to stay in Lecce. The shared facilities where you have your breakfast is just absolutely beautiful and super cosy. The rooms are lovely and gives you the perfect romantic feeling, and then the shower is great! 😄 would definitely come back! The owner is also very sweet and helpful, and made good recommendations even to other great destinations in Italy. You will not be disappointed. It’s great value for money and the best place we stayed in on our whole trip 🫶
Excellent location and an easy walk into centro storico Lecce but there are also good bars, restaurants and shops near by. The terrace is huge and lovely for having coffee, meals or just lounging. Arturo is an excellent host and provided coffee pods, olive oil and condiments plus a bottle of wine! The apartment is very well laid out and the kitchen is compact but we prepared several meals during our stay. There is even a toaster which is unusual for Italy and it was very quiet.
The hotel is perfectly located in the city of Lecce. The staff was welcoming and did everything they could to make you feel at home. The room was gorgeous and spacious, and the rooftop terrace was a perfect place to relax & read a book.
A big thank you to the staff for going above and beyond our expectations, from reception staff to super friendly housekeeping staff.
Would 100% recommend this hotel - we’ll definitely come back when we are in Puglia!
Pollicastro truly exceeded my expectations. The building has been carefully restored and thoughtfully decorated in a way that is both tasteful and respectful of the space’s history. Immaculate room, friendly staff, beautiful rooftop lounge, and an extremely delicious complimentary breakfast all added to the experience. The location is extremely central and Lecce is easy to access from other major cities in Italy. Highly, highly recommend.
Everything about this hotel was great. The staff members were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was very good with a variety of options. The hotel is only eleven years old and looks as if it was built yesterday. It was a walk to the old city of Lecce. The restaurant food was very good and there was another very good restaurant a short walk away. I would definitely recommend this hotel and would stay there again.
This property was magnificent hidden behind large doors on the edge of the old town of Lecce. The garden was beautiful, so peaceful and our elegant room was tastefully furnished and immaculate. Fresh pastries left outside our door every morning for breakfast were a luxury! The fridge was well stocked too. Luisa was professional and very helpful arranging airport transfers and train journeys. Thank you again!
Very large and airy room , with great aircon as it was still very very hot in Italy for this time of year. Great location, very easy to walk to everything in the old city and to he major highlights outside the old town. Very comfortable bed. Nora was very helpful and very kind. Very quiet location. Great recommendations for restaurants and places to eat and drink the local specialities.
The location is great given the overlook of the amphitheater and location in old town Lecce. I would definitely come again and it seems like it would be a great place for a family vacation as well. The host is amazing and helpful in providing recommendations in areas around the area (even helped us find a parking spot when we first arrived). I would definitely come again!
Malgio and his wife are the owners of the hotel, and from the first second you can feel like their closest guests. You can feel how they like to have people in their place. The hotel looks like a old castle, so so so beautiful and close to the old city entrance. The breakfast was the best Ive tried in Italy. They serve the local rustico which was amazing!!!!
Right in the centre of the Old Town of Lecce. The inner courtyard was beautiful as you drive into the private entry. The rooftop terrace was filled with succulents & plants looking over the rooftops, you can even see the Bell Tower of the main Piazza. Lots of restaurants closeby. Apertivo between 5-7pm was most enjoyable taking in the Lecce sunset.
We had a great stay in Lecce at this terrific guest house. Such a great location, with a room overbooking the square and the life happening there. A big plus was having early checkin at 12 noon! A comfortable and spacious room with a large shower - a rarity in Italy 🇮🇹. Highly recommended.
Very modern, ultra clean facility, all built within a building of excellent architecture and great history. Extremely close to the entry to the old town.
Amazing attention to detail throughout the complex. Towels were soft , shower pressure was excellent. A very special boutique hotel.
This is a gorgeous boutique hotel ideally located in the centre of Lecce old town. The rooms were very comfortable and the whole hotel was beautifully designed. But the most outstanding thing about this hotel is the staff - they could not have been more lovely and helpful. Thank you!
The breakfast was very good. very nice selection and service. the location of the hotel is excellent with back door to the old town. Enjoyed our stay very much, a small boutique hotel. The staff was very good, specially Frederica who met us and explained everything upon our arrival.
The property was perfect, very comfortable and big room. There is parking available on the street and the location is only a short walk to the old town. Sara and Marta are amazing hosts, very accomodating and provided the best breakfast we had in Italy. I would definitely recommend
The location is perfect for a visit to Lecce. It is located right outside the old part of town. It is easy to drive to the hotel and was not hard to find street parking nearby. It is just a few minutes and you are in the best part of Lecce.
The staff were very accommodating. It was very nice having our car in the private courtyard. The gardens were peaceful and very beautiful. The location was easy walking distance to the beautiful old town of Lecce.
Very good breakfast with delicious pastry.
Very modern room with comfortable bed.
Feel like in a luxury hotel. Everything in the room is of high quality.
