Loved the location, attached to a vineyard. Loved the pool! Loved the restaurant! They had a private event but very kindly laid a table for us outdoors and the sweetest staff served us, bringing out tasty food - and delicious wine from their own vineyard! (Also very good value for the food!) The apartment was very spacious and clean. Great value for your money, especially as you could have slept another three people in the flat.

Beautiful private shady outside patio whisteria pergola. Lovely plants & trees. Friendly but not invasive visits hello from the gentle dogs and cats. Lovely to be able to wander around and see many horses in their padocks and Ugo the pig-boar. Privacy and peace. Great sized pool perfectly tended with lovely greenery & no time limits. Welcoming oasis. This clean farm-house style accomodation is great to just chill with your own drinks, books and company. We had two of the appartments which worked perfectly for 6 of us.

Very nice authentic Italian house in a silent, peaceful area, ideal to escape from the world's noise and feel the traditional Italian countryside vibe! There is a huge common kitchen downstairs with an enormous charming fireplace. The owner is so friendly and helpful! We could easily park even with a big trailer.

Hotel Villa Maya, hotel in Fauglia

Set in Cascina, in the Tuscan countryside, Villa Maya is a 15-minute drive from Pisa and 5-minute drive from Cascina.

Location is great; it's easy to get to and from the airport and in and out of Pisa. Quiet spot with lovely views of the surrounding countryside. Ample car parking adjacent to the hotel though outside the grounds. Felt safe enough. The room was nice enough and the bathroom facilities perfectly adequate; small shower cubicle but did the job. We had breakfast there one morning and it was very good; all self-service and very much continental style but plenty of choice. We did have a problem when the supplied hairdryer started smoking but we had brought our own. Friendly and helpful staff although they adhere quite strictly to check in times. But they were happy to take luggage in while we went off to visit Pisa. All in all, adequate without being one to avoid or on the other hand to go out of your way for. We stayed twice; the first night we arrived in Pisa and again the night before we flew out. When we left on the morning to go to the airport it was about 7.15 and there was no one on reception to check us out so we left a note and the staff were very good in getting back to us later to take payment on the phone.

Warm welcome from our host Helen. She gave us enough information about everything we wanted to know. Clean, cosy accomodation. 2 toilets and bathrooms. Close to Fauglia (great restaurants), close to shopping stores and all the need to see historical towns in Toscania (Pisa, Lucca, San Gimignano, Sienna etc.). Swimming pool was great and very appreciated every evening. A grill. It was difficult for us to leave this place. But we had enjoyed ourselves very much.

What a gem of a hotel, my stay was fabulous. My room was beautiful and super comfortable. I was completely enchanted by the hotel and grounds were lovely. The staff were wonderful! The dinners at the La Mirage restaurant were some of the best I have had in Italy.

The location of the apartment in Fauglia is excellent. Fauglia is a picturesque and quiet village, and the inhabitants are very hospitable. Friendly staff (Raul) of the local café Sport Lori, as well as in the nearby shop and bakery.
