The owner was really welcoming, very helpful. More over he bought us many things for breakfast because we came quite late in the evening. The apartment was clean and fully equipped. Very good location, close to the main tourist highlights.

The view out of the window is right at Komo—it's great! The host is very friendly and helpful. There is a closed parking space right beneath the apartment, which is very nice. The village where the house is located is small, but there is a cosy restaurant within walking distance and a very small shop to buy some bread, cheese, meat, eggs, juice.
Boasting a bar, El Doorado is situated in Dorio. Guests can have a drink at the snack bar. At the inn, rooms include a desk.

The property was nice, the room was clean. Is a quiet location, 2 min away from the train station. The host was nice. If you’re gonna be there late, prepare yourself with some food/drink because are not shops around, they will be close. The host has a bar and you can find there drink, and few sandwiches.

The view from the premises was outstanding, perfect location in front of the lake.
But keep in mind the church bells 50 meters away from the apartment. It rings all the day starting from 7 am.
Located in Varenna and only 3 minutes on foot from Lake Como, Hotel Montecodeno is very close to a ferry boat stop. It offers free WiFi and rooms with views of the garden and mountains.

Everything was amazing. One of the best hotels I’ve been in. The location was amazing too! We went during spring time but the room was very well heated.

Dorio is quaint town where you'll be nestled among the local. The drive to walking villages is 18 minutes or less and just easy to get to. It's nice to get back to Dorio where the crowds are not.

A great location for those who want to access the lake...
A great location for those who want to access the lake without all the hustle and bustle of the busier resorts. The train stops at the station travelling north or south every hour so you can park the car up and relax :)

The pictures do the property no justice, I was only there for one night wished I stayed longer. Got there by Train from Milan central and the owner was ever so lovely to pick us up from the station was I was most grateful for as I had a sprained ankle. The property had breathtaking views of the lake and mountains which I couldn’t get enough of taking in the scenery in the jacuzzi. The apartment was very clean and comfy overall was just so peaceful, relaxing and I would definitely go again which I am planning to
Gabriele was an amazing host leaving no open wishes. The apartment has a fantastic lake view and is well equipped. We rent both the upper and lower flat and left the connecting door open, so plenty of space for 5 people. Dorio is a small and quiet but well located starting point for exploring lake Como, especially as the train station is very close so ne need to go by car. We enjoyed our 6 day stay very much, thanks a lot for the fantastic time we had at your place Gabriele!
Our goal was to relax and be away from the busy everydays and this place was the best choice. Dorio is a small village so it was very calm and with train and boat it is very easy to travel around the lake. The owners are very kind, they made us feel like home. Our room was very clean and comfortable. The view of the lake and the mountains from the balcony is beautiful. They also serve food and drinks, which was very delicious. I recommend it, we were very satisfied.
Amazing views, location and hospitality.
Staff were so helpful and give great ideas of places to visit around Lake como, and how to get to Switzerland for a day trip. They also give me free time in the hot tub and the staff were so helpful.
Even without a car it was easy to get around as the train station is near by.
As a solo traveller, I felt very safe and welcomed at Dorio.
Amazing unobstructed view of the lake from every room. Super clean apt and updated amenities - heated floors, diahwasher, washing machine, oven, stove, fridge, bidet set, hot water, cable tv. Love everything about it! Advisable to hv car here although our family walked everywhere and used daily the Dorio station Trenord train service to the max!

There's a bar just downstairs where non-alcoholic and alcoholic drinks are served, as well as snacks. In the morning the breakfast was served there.
The location of the hotel is very nice. The lake is right in front of you and you can have the opportunity to swim in the lake by walking a few steps. The bar under the hotel and the lake view seating across the road were very pleasant. The price/benefit balance is pretty good.
We stayed in the hotel for three nights - the owner was great people !!! delicious breakfasts also served meals during the day delicious salads and sandwiches. Close to the beach close to the train ... it was a pity to come back!

Perfect and scenic location. Had fabulous view of the lake, and mountains from the hotel room window. Breakfast was optimum and superb. All the breads were exquisite. The room was clean and cozy.
