We had to do an emergency last minute booking and Michael and his wife were great hosts, really helpful with tips on local restaurants and daily fresh fruit from the garden. Also a couple of cold water bottles in the fridge was a nice touch after a hot summer day. Location is quiet with a great view on the Abruzzo's mountains, just 10 minutes driving to Sulmona; the apartment is super big with all mod cons and a large terrace.

Great, secure very peaceful rural location with all the amenities you might need. Spacious cottage, fully equipped kitchen. Very welcoming and helpful host. Delicious home made cookies for breakfast are included. Not to mention that the host leaves some local specialities (salami & mozzarella) in the fridge. There was also coffee, milk, bread and jams available on our arrival. Great base for exploring the region of Abruzzo. We will definitely be returning here.

Raiano is great place to stay close to both Sulmona and unbelievably beautiful Gole di San Venanzio. And speaking of San Venanzio, the track to reach Eremo di San Venanzio comes right at the door. And in 40 mins you get to beaches of Pescara if you want to wet yourself in Adriatic Sea.
