The location of the hotel as well as its atmosphere were amazing. I can say that the people from the staff - Massimo, Giuseppe, Jessica, Stefania from the breakfast area, and everyone else of these amazing people were the most helpful I saw in my trips. For example, they arrange the things when I came very early in the morning with my son, when the standard check in was at 3 PM. They managed to give us our room at 9.30 at no additional cost! Thank you very much dear team! Your attitude is more than a welcoming and all of you are such a great persons! I can write many more things that I was impressed of about this hotel, but my review became very long anyways, so: I strongly recommend this hotel for a beautiful stay in Catania! Thank you, people!

I like mostly the food and the prices of some restaurants, but sometimes the service charge is too much. I found it very easy to use the public transport in catantia and to go to other places like Taormina, Castelmola, centro sicilia and Sicilia outlet etc, etc.

Travellers tend to pass Catania town by. Many sights are within easy walking distance. It has ancient amphitheatres which we loved and fabulous churches along Via Crociferi. For a pleasant interlude a Hop on Hop off bus can take you up the coast to see the environs and the Cyclops rocks.

Catania history center was quite shocking.
Catania history center was quite shocking. Dirty, garbage on the streets, nobody cleans after the dogs, abandoned buildings, impressive old palaces uncured, decaying, facades ruined...
However, the easygoing way gets under your skin in just a day or two. Lot of small eateries and bars where you can enjoy your food, coffee or drink and kind citizens, always ready to answer any question a tourist could have, beat the flaws.
Palaces and city structure with long wide streets show the splendour this city had in the past. Pitty it doesn't apply for the present. It has so much potantial, and not only for tourism.

The city of Catania is an exceptionally dirty city, where the strong influence of past poverty is strongly felt. It's one of the uglier cities we've visited in Sicily, but it's definitely worth seeing and experiencing.
The bedrooms were really modern and had a lot of privacy for a shared hostel room. Aircon was a big bonus as it was 38 degrees. The square where there are lovely restaurants is a few minutes away by foot. Staff were friendly and organised a hike up mount Etna once/twice a week. To be honest I did not spend much time in Catania itself as I used it as a base since it was close to the airport I came from, and was going back to. It is really a nice location to do day trips to other areas of Sicily and to climb Mount Etna.
I loved the location, I thought the host was totally professional and she was definitely on top of things. She always answered promptly to any questions we had and made the experience A1 quality. I loved the 2 balconies my room had you can hear the music amplifying from the main square, but once you shut the doors its silence and we loved that, bc Catania stays up LATE.. It's literally within 20 min walk of any and everything you would need to get to to have a legendary experience in Sicily.
Surprisingly stylish little hotel, steps away from Catania airport terminal and car rental return.. Room was small but had everything you would need and more (espresso machine, Sicilian cookies, wifi, bathrobes). If you have early flight or are arriving late, this is a good option. Bus to historic centre is 4 euros - 15 minutes from airport terminal. Note that there is no reception on-site but owner is super helpful with keypad entry instructions and flexible re check-in times. Great value.
It was a great place to spend our last night in Sicily. It’s very close to the airport (5 minute drive) and also close to the beach (also a 5 minute drive). The room is very clean, Tanya is a great host with all kinds of little things to make us feel welcome, like the water bottles in the fridge.
Tanya responds very well on whatsapp, so communication was easy. If you choose to do the self check in, she’ll send you some video’s to show you how to find the place and how to enter.
This hotel did exactly what we needed it to: It allowed us a place to rest overnight in quiet after a very very long travel day! The staff was as nice as they could be, coming to pick us up from the airport (which is very closeby) after multiple flight delays. It was clean and quiet and great for a flight layover. Note: It was as advertised, that is, it is very basic, so don't expect a luxury resort! But if you need a clean place to sleep near the airport, it fills the bill.
We really enjoyed our stay at Grand Hotel Baia Verde. The hotel has an old work luxury feel that you do not see enough anymore. The views of the sea, pool area and outdoor breakfast are are gorgeous. The staff is friendly and multilingual. We stayed here to get something closer in to the airport and wish we could have stayed longer. The beds are comfortable and like sleeping on a cloud. The breakfast was delicious. Nice amenities too like a gym and wellness center.
We stayed in this place on the last day of our trip in Sicily. We just wanted to be closer to Catania airport.
The location was good, close to many restaurants in the area. The area looked interesting and I regret that I had little chance to see!. The staff were nice and courteous. One of the young men carried my heavy suitcase (a folding bike was inside) all the way to the fourth floor through the staircase. I appreciated that!
Everything is great!!! Old building, nice stylish rooms, balcony. The owner (Francesco) is super lovely person, met us at the airport and brought us to the hotel, never met such hospitality before, told us about all the good restaurants and asked his friend to help us get to the railway station the next day. If you want to know what is Sicilian hospitality and what a kind people live in Sicily - you should stay at this hotel
This is the strangest hotel I have ever stayed in regarding the location. It is surrounded by the rental car parking lots at Catania airport and some crumbling remains of old houses. Still, it is a 2 minute walk to the airport and made dropping our car very easy. The young man at check in was very nice, but it was confusing to find "where" to check in and it is not indicated very well...
Our room had a very beautiful aesthetic of Sicily, the garden was a lovely touch to have your breakfast! The room was very clean .Everyone was very helpful and kind ! Great location in about 20 minutes by walking from the centre or 5 minutes with taxi (cheap taxis in Catania) . We suggest Inn the Garden Guest House as a very beautiful location in Catania ! Thank you for everything!
Good location, by Via Etna. Simple, clean tidy room with good hot shower.
Breakfast fine, hosts in morning were nice and helpful.
Its a cheap hotel but dont let this put you off. It is clean and tidy.
Catania is rough around the edges. The walk to the railway station is through rebuilt postwar bomb sites.
The main street is beautiful, good architecture, views of Etna.
We were picked up at Catania airport by hotel staff. Easy drop off at hotel and fortunately staff carried our luggage up the three flights of stairs. Similarly, we were collected 7.30am prompt and dropped off at airport. Overall, cheap and convenient for one overnight (late and early flights). Local facilities (pizzeria and cafe) were very good.
Really nice boutique hotel. Very friendly and helpful staff. Great breakfast included. The two-level rooms were really stylish. Great bathroom amenities. Great air conditioning. I recommend this for singles and couples traveling to Catania.
We had an early flight from Catania to Rome so this hotel was an excellent option as it is 5 minutes away from the airport and has parking facilities inside the premises. Room was comfortable and clean. Breakfast was also very good.
Hotel close to the airport, with the shuttle service close to hotel.
It's not walking distance from Catania centre, having a car is ideal. as taxi is around €25 - €30 per way. Hotel has its own parking with no extra charge
Everything was perfect, it was like experiencing a 5 Star hotel in a great location. There is nothing else to say. I literally found an underrated place to stay in for my next trips in Catania. Will surely be back
Excellent location in the old part of Catania, art gallery style boutique hotel. Historical building. The staff was very helpful and friendly. Nice breakfast in the balcony with fresh air.
We stayed here before a very early flight at the Catania airport.
We arranged with the hotel for the airport shuttle to pick us up at 5:00am and it came right on time.
Beautiful pool.
