You either like it or hate it. We were unlucky to be there in a pretty bed weather, cold weather front with torrential rain instead of a nice and warm Easter weekend. Yet, the guys living and working there made it unforgettable. I will definitely come back!

In the holiday month of August it usually has entertainment. Plus every Thursday morning has a typical Italian Market. It's a perfect base to explore the Garfagniana region of Tuscany.
Absolutely love it. A must see town.

Converted barn, meticulously restored. Room with large ceilings, perfect bathrooms. The ground floor is fully avalaible to guests including a large tv screen. The outside garden is fenced above street level, with a great sitting area.
The host is very dedicated and friendly. She composes the breakfast from farmgrown materials, including great pastry. Wine is available from the vineyard.
Location in Castelnuovo di Garfagnana allows easy access to restaurants and the road network, it is a small place with a real nice inner city part.
The host Patricia went beyond hospitality, she added us on whatsapp and helped us as much as she could with itineraries and helped my girlfriend get medication and a doctors appointment for mosquito allergies. The hotel itself is spectacular, a 500 year old villa with beautiful paintings and antiques wherever you look. The breakfast was also exceptional, with fresh pastries baked by Patricia in the morning as a cherry on top. Could not recommend more!
Our host Andrea was great. Very good communication when checking in and showing us to our room and helping us book taxis when needed. We had breakfast and coffee downstairs in the restaurant which we enjoyed. The location of the hotel is perfect for exploring Castelnuovo di Garfagnana a 3 minute walk in to the central square. There was a nice terrace outside our room overlooking the restaurant which was nice to relax on.
Great location if you are coming by train to visit Castelnuovo di Garfagnana. Our room was clean, bright and pleasant. The staff was lovely. The attached restaurant serves some great local food.
