A beautiful and very quietly situated accommodation. The rooms are clean and neatly furnished. The accompanying trattoria has good and authentic dishes on the menu. The surrounding area is ideal for relaxing or going on great hikes in the nearby national park. Note that sat navs like to guide you along a gravel road about 8km long. It is better to drive to Permilcoure and take the road to the accommodation. We enjoyed our time there very much.

We stayed at Agriturismo La Luna in the middle of a 3-week...
We stayed at Agriturismo La Luna in the middle of a 3-week tour of Italy (easy access, ample parking at the farm). The farm is located at the top of a gorgeous little valley and most rooms (and the pool/restaurant) have a lovely view. The rooms are nice, modern, clean and private. Our room had a kitchen in it, which we didn't use but was great. We spend a few glorious days lounging by the pool with a handful of Italians (we were the only anglophones) and reading books in the hammocks--a break from the pace we'd set in Rome and Florence. When it came time for dinner at La Luna, we weren't sure what to expect. We sat outside on the veranda and watched the sun set over the valley and enjoyed a truly delightful nine course dinner. Fresh, clean, simple but amazing food, served with a warm smile and a story. Our second night we went down into town for dinner at a restaurant recommended by our hosts, which was a totally different experience but equally friendly.
It's been a few weeks since we've been back from Europe, but our time at La Luna has stayed with me as one of our most enjoyable experiences in Italy. Not only was the food great, the setting beautiful and relaxing, and the lodging comfortable, clean and perfect, but also the staff at La Luna was so warm, welcoming, kind, friendly, thoughtful, enthusiastic and accommodating. They took such evident pride in their hosting and such genuine concern for our comfort and contentment. If we expressed any interest, or had any question, they were immediately and happily available to help. We were there with our kids (ages 10 and 12) and did not feel at all uncomfortable but instead like we were visiting cousins. The next time we're in Italy, we'll definitely be back.
