Although we like firm beds, the bed was almost too firm. The location was fantastic in that it was close to the rail and bus stations and the centre with loads of bars and restaurants. The breakfast was acceptable but was rather boring if staying for 7 nights as it did not vary at all.

The breakfast was good, and the location was convenient, close to everything. The room was very basic, but it was sufficient because, on a holiday, you mainly need the room for a shower and sleep. Additionally, we had a rented car, which made getting around easy."

The Sardinian capital, Cagliari has a historic old town, busy port and one of the island’s best beaches. The sweeping stretch of sand at Poetto offers great summer nightlife, and just inland is Molentargius lagoon, where flamingos nest against the backdrop of the city.
Cagliari is spread over a small hill and the oldest part – Quartiere Castello – lies at the top. There are far-reaching views from Bastion San Remy, its main entrance point. Medieval city walls lead from here to the simple cathedral, and nearby is the 18th-century Palazzo Regio.
By one of the original city gates is the National Archaeological Museum, housing a collection of Phoenician and Roman artefacts from the city’s Tuvixeddu Necropolis. There are also displays of the nuraghic civilisation whose former dwellings pepper Sardinia. The most impressive is Su Nuraxi north of Cagliari.
Just outside the walls are remains of a Roman amphitheatre, next to the university botanical gardens. Orange tree-lined streets descend the hill towards the seafront where restaurants and bars can be found. Cagliari FC play at Sant’Elia Stadium along the coast and opposite is the Sardinia International Fair, an important conference venue.

3-4 days should be enough to do sightseeing, walking shoes are a must, and be prepared to walk up steep hills! We loved the bicycle tour in the Molentargius reserve and Poetto bay. Public transport is efficient and very low cost, including connection to the airport and other areas of the island.

Cagliari is a great city, boasting a rich history and a unique blend of cultures. It took me back to my roots. This city has been influenced by various civilizations, including the Phoenicians, Romans, Byzantines, and Spanish. Loved its stunning beaches, vibrant nightlife, and diverse cuisine.

I liked the antiquity and history.
I liked the antiquity and history. We also visited the Museum of Archeology, a definite must. The sights in Cagliari, the narrow streets and the little train that one can ride for a minimal fee.
The shop, cafe and restaurant servers were all gracious and nice, very friendly.

Weather was not nice, so we cannot really use the beaches or go the mountain (to much windy), but center and close surroundings of Cagliari are nice, wonderful views, walking in small streets. We recommend to take bus Nr.7, which is circular line. How the driver is driving thru small streets - respect. In any case is better for stay in the city to use buses - it'smore practical and ecological, cheap and good service, parking is anyway difficult.

Excellent small town, which is very pleasant to walk around, enjoy the architecture and food. In general, there is not much to do in it, except to spend time by the sea and on the beaches. 3 days is fully enough to see all parts of the city.

Loads of walking up.and down hills and stairs.
Loads of walking up.and down hills and stairs. Easy to get around and all nearby. Loved the narrow streets and Marina. Great cycling tour of the city to Poetta beach. The Botanical Gardens were fantastic - well worth the visit. The public civic gardens were lovely and so well maintained by the hard working crew. Also the art gallery at the end of it was small but beautiful.
This is a small hotel in a very convenient location in Cagliari. The owner texted us as soon as we arrived at the airport to see if we needed any help and this level of service and attention to detail was maintained throughout our stay. The rooms are all on the same floor as the breakfast room and the owner told us to make ourselves at home and if we needed anything at any time just go into the breakfast room and help yourself. And she absolutely meant it. The breakfast was freshly prepared every day with plenty of choice.
Roberta is a marvellous host meeting us on arrival carefully showing us all the facilities giving us a lot of welcome information about sights transport maps restaurant guides, everything we needed was on hand. In addition Roberta was generous with her time and knowledge a great ambassador for Cagliari and Sardinia. An enthusiastic and very kind hostess. Thanks for looking after us so well in your beautiful apartment and providing a delicious breakfast, and drinks snacks for afternoon tea. as well. We had a great stay
Great location in Marina district, walking distance to most sights in central Cagliari, waterfront and also the train station for the airport train.
Large comfortable bathroom.
Good breakfast - a bit more than the usual Italian standard (but do not expext eggs and bacon :) ). We had a very early start the last day to catch a flight, earlier than the regular breakfast hours, but our host kindly left us most breakfast stuff on the table the night before, so we did not need to start hungry.
It is a room in an multi-room apartment. Is an old building and, if you're used to live in a decent 2023 house, you can't ignore this:)) Is self check in.
Beyond the other shortcomings, the bedding was clean, white.
It is right in front of the Cagliari train station, which makes it easy to access the airport or the other places in Sardinia. That's if you don't have any problems with the noise, since it's in front of a very busy thoroughfare as well:))
The breakfast was more than adequate. The hosts are very gracious and helpful, providing many helpful suggestions. Visitors without a car should be aware that the hotel is quite a way from downtown but is easily accessed by bus. I don't know if its possible but I would recommend trying to buy bus tickets at the airport if you are arriving during the afternoon as nothing is open locally to buy them. Taxis are plentiful but quite expensive.
We were utterly overwhelmed buy our host's kindness and hospitality. Room was very clean, comfy and spacious, and quiet at night. We had a lovely, rather sweet, breakfast with delicious coffee and access to a little fridge, which appeared to be a necessity in the Sardinian heat! There was also a beach set with all equipment necessary for the beach, which was very convenient. We had a fantastic time. Thank you Leo and Lorenzo!
Ada was a fantastic host, with lots of great tips and information for our stay in Cagliari.
The breakfasts were amazing with Ada providing special Sardinian treats each day including my favourite - Tiramisu!
The rooms were clean and tidy (cleaned each day).
The bed was very comfortable.
Tea, coffee and cold water were always available in the kitchen.
There was free parking outside the property.
thanks for a great stay!
Ilm Cagliari is a wonderfully quirky little place ideally located between the old town and the beautiful Monte Urpinu park. And Roberto, the host, was great at giving tips and inspirations to make my trip to Sardinia unforgettable The place is super cosy, decorated with paintings and artwork, has a balcony overlooking the town and it is super clean. Oh, and it has a great coffee maker. So all was perfect.
The location was superb, literally overlooking the Bastione di St.Remy, everything was walking distance including the Marina and Via Roma. The accommodation was excellent - comfortable, clean and nicely furnished. There is a nice roof terrace which you can see the sea from. All in all it was great value for money and a great base to explore Cagliari and southern Sardinia.
Everything! Location is amazing, next to one of the greatest beaches of Cagliari. Staff is so friendly, just the nicest! Everybody was really great to us and our stay was the best! The room is really nice, it has a small outside room, which is great to enjoy Sardegna's air! Would definitely come back!
The staff was friendly and accommodating. The hotel was centered between downtown cagliari and Poetto beach making it perfect for reaching either. Located on a relatively calm street, we were able to park a rented scooter easily and take off in the morning with relative ease.
Davide the host met us at the airport and was very helpful about suggestions for eating out and places to see. His excellent English and friendly manner made our stay easy. The room was spotless and has excellent security. The elevator to the hotel floor is a a great plus.
It's a hotel with a vibe located in a quiet area and it's a few minutes away from the city center and a shopping street. There is a great hotel restaurant with a patio and fantastic next-door restaurants that offer Sardinian cuisine - Sa Domu Sarda and Ammentos.
A comfortable room for our first night in Sardinia. Beautiful views from around here of Cagliari. We arrived late evening and Enrico sent very good instructions on how to get in. Easy to find, taxi will be able to drop you a few hundred metres away. Good wifi.
We have been to 63 countries over 25 years. This hotel owned by two brothers was by far such a wonderful place and one of the best. If I was going to stay anywhere in Cagliari Sardinia it would be this hotel for sure! Fantastic!
Easy to check in, host very responsive and kind. Great location, apartment is cozy and has a lot of Sardinian deco details. What a lovely place right in the center of Cagliari! Highly recommended
Absolutely amazing hotel. Will never forget the awesome time here. The staff is so welcoming and helpful. The hotel itself is perfect and cozy. I love to Sardinia.
