The entire hotel was wonderful. Our room was spacious, with a king bed, a sitting area with sofa, a kitchen and eating area, and an excellent bathroom. The public areas of the hotel were pretty and inviting, and the rooftop pool, lounge area, and spa were delightful and provided beautiful views of the surrounding vineyards and mountains. Staff members were always helpful and spoke English well. The breakfast buffet provided a wide variety of delicious choices, and we enjoyed dinner there on two evenings.

Bolzano is one of those cases that are difficult to describe without risking undermining its beauty and complexity. A witness of the conflicts and renaissance of Europe, this Italian city is the capital of the German speaking province of South Tyrol. Located in the Adige River Valley, it is surrounded by hills crowned by castles, and framed by the Dolomites Alps.
After reaching the local railway station, follow the Bahnhofsallee or Viale della Stazione and you’ll reach Walther Square, where the beautiful Cathedral of the Assumption of Our Lady is located. The shops along the arcaded street of Via dei Portici will lead you towards the market, located in Goethe Strasse. The display of colourful vegetables and flowers encompasses the beautiful buildings, while some of the best luxury hotels in Bolzano are located nearby.
The city is famous for its Christmas Market, but be aware that most of the hotels in Bolzano get sold out quickly during this time! A stroll around the old residential quarter of Gries and a visit to the many nearby castles is a must.
Whether you arrive at the local Dolomites Airport or the larger Verona Airport, check out the Bolzano accommodation deals on Booking.com before travelling!

I highly recommend that if you visit Bolzano, you use the furnicular and go up to SopaBolzano. The ride is wonderful and you have a panoramic view. There is also a train on the top that you can go all along the top and look at the view. We had coffee and gelato at the little café at the top of the mountain. Such a relaxing, nice time. There is also very good shopping in Bolzano and restaurants. We had dinner at Paulaner Stuben—it was awesome!!

It was so much better than we expected.
It was so much better than we expected. Perfect combination between Austrian and Italian culture. You could eat schnitzels ánd pasta in almost every restaurant. Not too touristy (we went in September). Within 15 minutes you could go to the mountains by cable car for little money. The mountains (via Oberbozen for example) were very beautiful, wide and quiet. You could take a 100 year old tram in Oberbozen that went through the little villages up the mountains. 100% coming back! Tip: go by train! It was very accessible, we came from Innsbruck which is only a 2 hr train ride from Bolzano, including breathtaking views.

We loved the South Tyrol Museum of Archeology, the MMM Fermian and the victory monument. Oberon Restaurant was an outstanding Pizza place and the staff are friendly too. We stayed at the Roma Ariston Apartments' and we had a great time there. The mountains around Bolzano were super cool and we highly recommend Bolzano.

I stopped at St Mary's rooms and apartments, I paid 5 euros for secure parking in their garage. I went down the next morning and found that the luggage panniers on my motorbike had been broken into. Spoilt my time there, as it was supposed to be secure parking, had to spend the rest of my day there at police station sorting it out. Would not recommend this place. Bolzano is a lovely place to visit, but not this accommodation
I absolutely loved that we we received a Bolzano card for each person in our reservation. The location was quiet and comfortable. The host was very kind and helpful. There was a little walk to the center of town, but 100% worth it with what you get in return. I loved the espresso machine with coffee pods included as well as the welcome basket of goodies. Highly recommended, and I hope to get the opportunity to stay again. Family of 5 - with 11, 9 and 6yo.
The flat is located within the old town next to the main attractions, restaurants and shops. The design and quality is like a 5 star hotel. The property is clean, quite (though centrally located), great air condition, great shower and comfy beds.
The host was very patient and accommodating and made the uttermost effort to keep us informed and satisfied. This is really a great find to anyone who travels to Bolzano. Highly recommended
We reserved a room at this hotel for its location. We were planning to take day trips to the mountains and thought it would be nice to be outside the town of Bolzano. So it was perfect for that reason. Our room had a balcony and was lovely. The manager helped us find two restaurants and it was very nice. The breakfast coffee was nice and that is all I had for breakfast so I don't know if the rest of it was o.k.
We absolutely loved our stay at Hotel Stiegl Scala. So much so that we returned after a few days in the Dolmites to relax another day by their pool. Breakfast every morning is amazing and the staff are really helpful! The back garden and pool are beautiful - it feels like a little oasis from the city. But still close to the train, cable car, and all the great restaurants and shops!
Nice hotel in the centre of Bolzano. Nice bar and restaurant.
The room we got was announced and charged as a suite but was two small rooms with a sofa bed for two persons in one room. We where only two persons so no problem to use the other small room with a nice bed. But a nice and refurbished hotel in the centre and I would stay there again :-)
This is a grand older hotel in an excellent location. Beautiful facility and grounds in the middle of Bolzano. Breakfast was very nice and had plenty of options. Parking in the lot across the street with in / out privileges. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Room was spacious and very clean. Would definitely recommend this hotel for a stay.
The location was great. The Hotel Anita is located in the middle of a residential area with lush gardens and 19th century villas. The garden is beautiful and the Rooms are quiet. At the same time, the hotel is located close to the center of Bolzano/Bozen with nice restaurants and all the other things you could possibly wish for.
A beautifully designed hotel in a historic townhouse in the centre of Bolzano. Stylist and very comfortable rooms. Fantastic night sleep. Great breakfast in a beautiful room. Will definitely return. Please visit the Frankziskaner stube next to the hotel to experience the amazing local cuisine.
The staff are friendly and polite.
The restaurant specially the dinner was amazing food also the breakfast was the basics but very delicious.
The size or the room is spacious
It need around 15 minutes by car to arrive to Bolzano center
The location of the hotel is very calm and clean
Perfectly situated opposite the Christmas market and in the centre of Bolzano. Fantastic breakfast and contemporary modern rooms. We can highly recommend this hotel. we stayed here for 1 night and 3 nights in the Park Laurin (much more expensive) and preferred Stadt Hotel Citta by far.
Character-full apartment near the centre of Bolzano. Check-in is at a hotel opposite the main railway station. Then we walked a few minutes to a quiet location. We had a free upgrade to an apartment with a lift, which was very helpful. The staff were efficient and helpful.
The room was fine: spacious, quiet and very warm. Small balcony with an amazing view of the Dolomites. Good bath amenities. Free private garage. Complimentary Bolzano card which we used for the cable car to Oberbozen, and the station is 5 minute's walk from the hotel.
This hotel is very hard to beat. We got a great, spacious room and bathroom and we really appreciated the garden, and the magnificent breakfast. And of course the first class staff. Laurin is located on the best spot for everything Bolzano has to offer.
Room an bathroom clean and ok, airco doing it's job. Really good breakfast, a relief for me after the purely sweet breakfasts in the rest of Italy. The hotel has it's own car park, the old town beyond the river Talfer is a 15-minute walk away.
It is in a very good position to see Bolzano but also get away from the crowds if one wants to. Beautiful old hotel with charm. Breakfast is very good & the bar area at night has a great atmosphere. We loved our short stay.
Love this little hotel.
Spotlessly clean
Super friendly staff
Room was amazing great value woke up to divine view.
Breakfast great
Lovely bar service
Nice to be outside of Bolzano itself
