I can definitely recommend the hotel: My room was spacious and everything is still new. The staff is friendly and the connection to the restaurant and bar just downstairs makes sure one never lacks a good coffee or a space for the dinner.

A very well provisioned property. Milk and coffee in the fridge for our use plus a good variety of condiments. The city is still recovering from the earth quake in 2009 making it difficult to navigate by car to find the local attractions. We gave up and moved on instead of enjoying these. The hostess was most welcoming and showed us around the unit and explained how things worked. Out of her control was no Wi-Fi, the line was down she said.

This is essentially a review of Fonte Cerreto, as the hotel I stayed in is not in Assergi. Fonte Cerreto is very small, and is really just the base for exploring the Gran Sasso in the summer. It is probably also a good base for exploring the ski area in the winter. I ate in the hotel, but I think the trattoria a few hundred yards down the road would have provided better food.

You must understand what is around you .
You must understand what is around you . Upon arrival it isn’t clear . You need a car to move around . I suggest to bring some food along . The closet supermarket is 8 km away because the earthquake has destroyed the center . There are only two restaurants in the town . If you accept eating in the cozy kitchen you have no problems . There are pots and pans .
Nice apartment in the old city town within the city walls. It was clean, wi-fi worked perfectly. The environment is quiet, only few people live in Assergi. As the streets are very narrow, there are no cars around, but the parking place is available in the square close to the church with a steep and quite narrow access road. The breakfasts were served in a box in front of the apartment, they were rich.
The receptionist was extremely welcoming, including being able to provide a snack when the kitchen was theoretically closed. The hotel in general had a relaxed atmosphere, and the location provides a good base from which to begin exploration of the Gran Sasso in summer. The breakfast was fine, and the coffee very good. The WiFi is surprisingly good for a mountain location.
Really excellent stay at this hotel. Staff were all extremely friendly, room was comfortable, location was great for a day on the slopes of Gran Sasso but what sets this hotel apart was the restaurant, which was simply superb. First class cuisine in a wonderful setting. Would definitely return.

good location, lovely place, having everything one needs! makes you feel like home. helpful and lovely hosts ( including the dog- Barney, who literally took us for a walk, showing the hidden secrets of Assergi❤️)

Whether you’re working at LNGS or exploring the National Park, Assergi is the best place to stay. This new hotel is beautiful, and like home away from home. The paintings on the ceiling are astounding.
Amazing staff, super helpfull in suggesting what to do and where to go. I found the room very clean and comfy and the location is perfect to go to Campo Imperatore
