The location was great, just 300 metres off the Ring Road, and close to the town centre. There was a supermarket, cafes and restaurants within walking distance. There was also a free car park for the guests. The room was spacious, clean, and quiet, and had everything we needed for a short stay. The bed was comfortable. The bathroom was clean, and toiletries and towels were provided. WiFi worked fine. The breakfast was tasty and varied. The staff was friendly and helpful. There was a 24-hours reception desk, so we had no problems with late check in and early check out.

This eco-friendly hotel, 30 minutes’ drive from Reykjavik, is surrounded by nature in the town of Ölfus.

We have been coming back to The Greenhouse several times. Love the vibe, the comfort, the design. It’s very central for a lot of beautiful locations. The foodcourt is very nice 👍 Highly recommended!!

I really want to come back. Our room was just beyond. We had wonderfull view on the nature, pool was near and we liked it so much. Selection on breakfast was great. I ate too much I guess. Best stay on Iceland. And the local cat...she is one big fluff of cuteness. Thank you for pleasant stay.

The breakfast was good with a full range of everything. When we had to leave early the breakfast was resady at 7pm as advertised. It was very comfortable, clean and quiet. Cooifee and juices available all day.

It was not possible to reach reception via the front doors - we had to go round to the side doors. The checkin process was so quick and easy - no ID required. They offered an excellent service whereby you gave reception your room number if you were interested in seeing the Northern Lights and they called you if they were visible. (They did not put in an appearance the night we stayed there). The room was small. The restaurant was good and we had a very good dinner

It’s a perfect base for exploring the golden circle and the south coast. There is only 7 km to Hveragerdi and Selfoss, cities with a wide range of shops and restaurants.

We had a 2 bedroom unit; nice big bathroom; it was spacious in the main areas; it was spotlessly clean and well furnished and decorated; everything you need to eat in and cook if you wanted to; the hosts were very accomodating and helpful; we asked for early check in and they worked hard to clean so we could get in; I dropped a contact lens in the sink and they helped to unscrew the plumbing and found my lens!! I cannot thank this couple enough. Parking right outside the unit was a bonus.
