Very busy town - heavy traffic and very very noisy - everyone drives on the horn. No pavements for walking, very few pedestrian crossings - generally not suitable for walking around. Very few taxis/auto's - so general moving around can be difficult. Most locations are either not marked on google maps, or are marked wrong. Good area if you are looking to buy clothing and fabric material. Lots of kovil/temples in the area.

We stayed at Mithila for a night with a pet, in transit. Turned out to be a great experience with Mr & Mrs Vairavan taking personal care, be it the menu or any other concern. This is not your typical hotel stay - it is a true rural TN village experience. We loved it, will be back for more.
The rooms were neat and the room is very close to the railway station. There are a few good hotels at walkable distances. The service is alright , and there are a lots of shops around , for clothing.
