I waited all the time at Railway station in this cold winter but they didn't send my any pick-up. I got there mail about the pick-up i filled all the details up and waited at the VGLB railway station all night but they did not picked me up. If you don't know how to run the hotel do not make it online. I am 84 year old and you kept me at the railway station all night.

This was my second stay at Hotel Sunset Orchha. I returned because I had liked it so much the previous year. Mr. Mahipal, the manager is incredibly helpful and cooks a delicious breakfast. It's a very quite place with a lovely view of the Orchha from the roof terrace. The rooms are spacious and clean. I will probably return each time I stay in Orchha.

The whole family is extremely charming! They fullfilled all my wishes, for example as I mentioned that the fan is only running on a high speed, the next morning the electrician was here to regulate that promptly, , Mina or her sister in law make very good fresh meals,..they also respect your privacy., the rooms and outside bathroom are clean, the rooms are colorful decorated, also with paimtings from Mina

The only things to watch in orchha are Raja Ram Mandir and...
The only things to watch in orchha are Raja Ram Mandir and the Fort. The e rickshaw drivers will fool you by telling other places but they are not worth going. Do take 2-3 hours of time to completely watch the fort which involves many buildings - Raja Mahal, Jahangir Mahal, Rai Praveen Mahal, Dau ji ki kothi, oot khana etc etc. It might also take around 2 hours for Mandir if you visit the mandir during the time of aarti. Great place to visit and all you need is to reach here by 8 or 9 in the morning, visit mandir, visit fort and you can easily leave before 3 and can stay somewhere in Jhansi and cover 2 cities because it will not even take 1 day to explore the city. Also there is no need to get a guide here, MP Tourism has done a great thing by providing audio books everywhere in the fort. You can simply scan the QR code and listen about everything throughout the Fort.

Orchha has still a village character.
Orchha has still a village character. It's alive and local people hang out by the water, along the ghats, around the temples. The locals are friendly, we had a great time here. The 750 Rps entry fee for the fort is a little much for foreigners, there are better forts, but it's possible to walk the grounds and I think that's much more interesting.
There are many restaurants along the main street and little shops. We did like to sit and slurp chai and watch people. Behind the Rama temple is a veg and fruit market, most people are nice and give good prices.

A nice and quiet place.
A nice and quiet place. All the heritage properties appeared clean, free of clutter. People in general are decent and welcoming. The light and sound show at the Fort was worth every penny. Very reasonable entry fee for all the heritage sights.

Jhansi rickshaw drivers still insist no buses go to Orchha, technically correct, but plenty of buses go THROUGH Orchha. Persist at the bus station
Stayed in the hotel . Had a wonderful experience. The staff is friendly and courteous.
Rooms were neat and clean, housekeeping staff always ensured to clean up the linens. The staff was prompt in assisting with appropriate responses. I loved my stay- the staff, especially Aniket were incredibly kind and welcoming. This was without a doubt the best hotel or hostel I’ve stayed at on my entire trip to India. They put together a thoughtful itinerary and tour guide for all their guests, the breakfast was great, room and bathroom were clean, it was quiet at night, and they helped me book my train ticket and taxi. Could not recommend more highly!
Not even checked in and I need I would have a really nice experience. You are made welcomed right from the start, the staff help me planned my (quite short) time in Orchha (he even has a Google map tour ready for you!). The room was quite big (but I think I got an surprised upgrade), simple but really nice for the price! There is also a really nice view or the old monuments from the rooftop.
We had a wonderful stay at Ortus Stays in Orchha. The location is perfect at the small hill, offering stunning views. The rooms are spacious and well-appointed, and the staff is friendly and helpful. Highly recommended for a peaceful stay in Orchha. Aniket also offers great Itinerary and knows Orchha by heart. He have small details about many more unknown hidden monuments of Orchha.
The House is really the best I had in India. Very clean, everything's working, quiet, but at the same time not far from the center and everything. The best : the host are really really nice and welcoming. As there is always something unexpected in India, they help me to catch my train even if no auto/tuktuk could take me to the station. If you are in Orchha it is THE place to stay !
The place, the people, the location, the room and everything about the place. They helped me book a taxi at the best possible price in the town and in the state of emergency when no other tuktuk drivers were ready to drop me to Jhansi Railway Station.

This was a totally unexpected surprise, a fantastic clean spacious room with huge picture window overlooking the field down to the river. Spectacular!

Orchha is a clean, nice and peaceful city. It is worth to go there. And if you do, book a room in Bundelkhand Riverside; a hotel with large rooms, a nice restaurant and a beautiful garden with four hindu temples dating back to XVI century…
