A place full of energy. People here are warm and live in harmony. There are lots of age old Temples here. The vibe in these temples are at another level. You can easily find bus connectivity literally from anywhere to anywhere. Must visit Aaru Block.

2.kottayam buses are really crowded and they dont behave properly.
3.shops also people don't behave decently.they see us more as trespassers.u pass by their shop,they will quip " Hey what do u want "
They should mind their own business.
4.if you wear a gobi tilak they will give u a wicked stare as if I am coming from mars. If gobi tilak is banned here in kottayam,it should be mentioned before entering this city.i will remove it.
5.kottayam is far too crowded.its certainly not a city to visit to chill out or for a tour. There's nothing here to see.just the usual shops roads traffic which is ubiquitous.
Kind of grumpy people live here.reminds me of my favorite Garfield.

Quality of food is very low. There is no good restaurants near railway Station or bus station in the city. The worst experience I ever had regarding food in kottayam. Dirty unhygienic hotels, and charged too high.
Incredible service, very clean and nice facilities with outstanding value for money. Vivek was very kind and available to help - he provided all of the relevant information beforehand and was always helpful in directing me towards local attractions. Very easy to get around due to the high number of autorickshaws nearby, and many good restaurants in the area. I would definitely stay here again, cannot recommend this hotel enough!
Absolute value for money. The staff is really good and helpful, the location is very good, there's a supermarket right outside the hotel and an atm too, it is very centrally located, not too far from the Kottayam locality, and very close proximity to Kumarakom. It has ample space to park your two wheelers inside and four wheelers right outside. Safe for solo (women) travellers. The room is clean and spacious enough.
Hotel is not far from city, but away from the traffic and sounds. Rooms are of average size and quality, comfortable, though not cozy or luxurious. The property has a large outdoor area, we couldn’t see much as it was raining, but the rain was enjoyable with its green surroundings. There is a restaurant, breakfast was average and a bit overpriced. Reception was helpful to get a taxi. Good for a short stay.
The location of the hotel is at the prime spot of Kottayam, easily accessible to any public transports. It is highly appreciated that I was charged only half day charges when I had checked out the hotel after 4 hours to the their check out time timings. It had decent rooftop restaurant with a good ambiance.

The hotel is set in a beautiful setting where u can sit leisurely in your own private veranda overlooking the river. Watching fish or baby turtle swim by. Staff were very helpful and friendly. People with mobility issues might find it difficult as there is a steep stairs to your bedroom.
I booked the room for my family for a short stay. The stay for them was really pleasant. Room was clean and comfortable. The manager is a very nice and super helpful person and accomodated our request for late check in and check out.

So wanted a room to just get freshen & then travel to Kumarakom where our booking was.
We found this stay of 4 to 5 hrs excellent as good breakfast which was complementary, good service & good Staff.
The rooms and toilets were clean and tidy. The location was in a quiet neighbourhood and it was excellent. The interiors of the hotel looks nice and professional. It was good to see that enough parking space was available
Nothing!!!!! The worst place on booking.com. toilet didn't work, and was never fixed. Shower didn't work and never fixed. Wanted credit card payment as soon as I entered. This not even a one star hotel.
