Can't put my finger on it but it has a weird vibe- I think it's that there are a lot of restaurants along the beach, but they are quite deserted, so there is not much of a buzz and feels a bit eerie.
The main Gorkarna beach was quite dirty. Kudle beach was cleaner, but there was still a pile of rubbish to the side. Lots of cows on the beach so lots of cow poop.
There are some beautiful parts to it, but not worth it for me. I'd go to Goa instead.

Gokarna is the ideal place for leisure holidays. It offers a lot like temples, road trips, monuments but highlight for me was beachside treks. It's amazing experience, one must try.
Availability of bikes makes it very easy to travels and roads are with amazing view, you will cherish every minute you travel.

It is clean and comfortable. There is no bar or communal seating area outside. On a very busy crossroads so noisy most of the time. Food from room service was largely good. It was nice to have a balcony. I’m beach is 6km away.

Very good serene place with a nice history, beaches were clean and trekkable. The crowd was so less that you could enjoy each and everything nicely must go place in my opinion just that take your own vehicle.

If you want Goa like environment without crowd with added bonus of pilgrimage to Shri Mahabaleshwor (Jyotirlinga) then this is the place. The locals are friendly and have time to speak to you. Someday we have one part of the beach totally for us.
A very nice place to stay for the solo travellers, group of friends in Gokarna. Located nicely, you get panoramic view of the Gokarna Main Beach; Atmalingam temple is just a couple of minutes walk. Nice ambience, full of amenities, ample common area to chill and relax. Beach games and activities are also organised by Zostel. Live-in music in the evening; inhouse bar & restaurant. You get to interact with other travellers. Overall this place gives you a premium experience in a budget travel.
The service provided by the stay owner is too good and helped us to explore places in Gokarna. Safety is 100% secure for girls and the owner is too friendly with everybody. The resort is also nearby the beach, we can reach it within 4min.
Rooms are good and clean with the midst of village people. Overall it's a safe and secure stay with a humble owner for both family and friends.

Booking.com is getting the commission, only not inspecting the standard of hotels. Rs.2800 per day is not a small amount. The hotel owner is a great cheater. There are no tea cups in the room. No drinking water glass for 2 persons. Please discontinue this hotel for the future. I am the customer of booking.com on every time. So I have bitter experience on booking.com
Our stay in Gokarna was simply delightful. The serene beaches, warm hospitality, and picturesque views made our experience truly memorable. The accommodations were comfortable, and the local cuisine was delicious. Overall, it was a nice getaway that left us feeling relaxed and rejuvenated
Property owners and staff is very friendly, helpful and understanding. It's a beautiful place to stay and just 3mins downhill walk from kudle beach.
