The property was within walking distance of most of the town and a great spot away from the masses in Kilkenny. As described by others, the breakfast was terrific and a lot of work put in by the owner in serving and preparation. On the banks of the river and close to walking paths it is a great place to spend a few days.
Situated in Inistioge, in a historic building, 15 km from Mount Juliet Golf Club, Woodstock Arms is a bed and breakfast with a terrace and bar.

The location is picturesque. It was so warm and inviting pulling up to the Woodstock Arms. The room was IMMACULATE and so comfortable. Our host, Annette, was incredibly kind and inviting. We were allowed to bring food into the pub as we stayed on a Tuesday, a kind gesture. We enjoyed the best pint of Guinness we’ve had in Ireland at the Woodstock Arms. The pub is cozy and clearly the neighborhood watering hole - so nice to see! Annette made a delicious Irish breakfast that was served in the quaintest dining room. This stay exceeded expectations!!!

Awesome facilities - restaurant, bar were great. The accomodation and facilities were a very pleasant surprise for the price, spacious, spotlessly clean and very private. Ask for a garden room, you will not be disappointed. Very central location and easy parking. Highly recommended.
With Medieval Kilkenny as a backdrop, this 18th century hotel is located in a cultural and artistic hot spot. The main shopping area is only 2 minutes away.

A stunningly beautiful place but be prepared for the late check in time of 4pm. I’m my opinion this is a forced measure so you book the additional night knowing well that if you’re attending a wedding party you’re left with very little choice.
I cannot fault the hotel and the staff and super friendly however management should reconsider options for check in times

I like Thomastown but because of Covid very few places to eat. I was there earlier and choice of restaurants much better. We were there Monday to Wednesday and most evening places didn't open until We'd to Sunday and that was also in Inistioge. We found a place in St Mullins opened til 8 so that was good. It is a very interesting area much to explore , Graugnamanagh beautiful .

Thomastown has lovely walks to offer by the river and surrounding areas. Stayed in Ballyduff House and it’s a hidden gem! Dined in Barrows Keep Restaurant and it has to be recommended, friendly service, fabulous food, busy place but very pleasant atmosphere 😊 We also visited Tim’s Bar and were served good bar food, very reasonably priced, by very friendly staff and they serve a good pint of Guinness too! Jerpoint Abbey is close by and it’s a very interesting historical site. Woodstock is close by and well worth a visit too.

It's a nice size town with enough facilities such as supermarkets, coffee shops, restaurants, newsagent and gift shops. It also has it's fair share of historic spots in or very close to the town. It's definitely a good base to explore Kilkenny and Carlow especially if even Kilkenny city is too urban for you.

Tim's bar is lovely has a gorgeous beer garden at back. Food was fabulous service was great. Welcoming staff very friendly and courteous.
We always try to support areas outside of the larger cities when we can- Thomastown was a winner. We enjoyed our stay at the Tower B&B. Enjoyed learning about the history of the property from the owner. Nice courtyard for relaxing and a large breakfast area. Room was a little tight and there was little ventilation since both windows were on the same side of the building. Ample bathroom with shower. Large towels were a nice bonus! Breakfast was wonderful and the hosts were by far the friendliest!
The Ballyduff House is a fantastic spot to slip back in time to get a feel of how life was like living in a grand manor house. It is beautiful and quintessential and reflects everything one could ever imagine of Ireland. You are treated with such care and consideration by its host, who is charming, witty, and so very warm and welcoming. An absolute delightful stay! Hoping to return again soon.
Outstandingly spacious and comfortable accommodation. The hosts couldn't have been more thoughtful and kinder, providing useful travel advice from the moment we had booked. Situated on the edge of Thomastown, it is an easy walk into the town where there are excellent bars as well as to good supermarkets for stocking up with essentials for self-catering. Thoroughly recommend.
Beautiful country house in a gorgeous location near Thomastown. The host here is one of the best ever . With her delightful personality , her friendliness and attention to detail in her beautifully decorated home , Breda Thomas is an outstanding host and a flag carrier for the best of Irish hospitality. Looking forward to going back to stay here again
Lovely place to stay. Old historic building yet modern bedrooms. Everything you would need in the bedroom. Like a hotel. Yummy breakfast cooked to order. Delicious coffee. Very accommodating to our party one of whom had severe food allergies. Would go out of my way to stay there if in the area. Highly recommend.
Bit off the beaten track but boy was this worth it. The lady that runs the show is a born hotelier. Beautiful, genuine hospitality and an old, characterful, beautiful house and awesome grounds. Hands down, the best place I stayed in Ireland.
the Manor House and hunters yard were so close in proximity and the hotel taxi made it so easy to commute over and back. There was a huge choice of activities and walks to avail of. We will be back for sure!
Apartment is very clean and comfortable. Beautiful and modern kitchen, comfortable bed and gorgeous, quiet location in Thomastown. Hosts Sheila and Michael are very helpful and friendly.
