Trivia House is a lovely combination of Hotel/Hostel in pretty Swanlinbar. It was central to the lakelands of central Ireland and to bigger towns like Ballinamore in the next county for shopping. The staff were lovely and helpful and engaged in friendly conversation with us. The general shared kitchen/lounge was very comfortable and easy to navigate for making our own meals and relaxing. There was also free WiFi. with good connection. Less than two hours drive to Dublin this was an ideal place for us to chill out and explore. There are great local spots of historic interest made accessible by the large QR code map outside. Parking was free and entry and exit to the main road very easy. We thoroughly enjoyed our time there.

From the exterior it’s very beautiful, the front bar was also beautiful and the breakfast was very tasty. We were at an outdoor wedding there and it was gorgeous. The whole set up was really nice.

An absolutely fabulous house - everything you could need in it and spotlessly clean. Tom was so lovely to deal with. Would definitely return!

We celebrated our 5th year wedding anniversary in this beautiful old country house. Room was perfect and lovely cosy bed. Owner Patricia and her daughter were very welcoming and we really enjoyed the yummy breakfast. Also nice indoor pool was a lovely bonus. Perfect weekend for a relaxing getaway in the beautiful Leitrim countryside. We would love to stay in riverside bnb again and will be telling our family and friends all about this great place! Thanks so much for having us!! Rebecca & John

Swanlinbar is peaceful, lovely views from Swan Cabin.
Swanlinbar is peaceful, lovely views from Swan Cabin. The petrol station has a shop for basic groceries, but there are no bars or eateries in the village. Nearest are in Ballyconnell (10 miles) or Keepers Arms in Bawnboy (6 miles) has a simple menu. Beautiful drive or cycle up towards Glangevlin.

The Guest house was very clean, on arrival I was meet by Aiden “owner” he was very helpful with local information and ran me through the fire muster point and was at the end of the phone immediately if he wasn’t working so a very helpful person.
There are only 2 shops, one with petrol station and the other a butchers where I done most of my shopping, overall my son and I really enjoyed our stay at this guesthouse.
