I booked this because I was traveling from Cliffs of Moher in the evening to Skelling Islands the next day, and the location was perfect along the way. Given that I would have to arrive late and depart early, I communicated this consideration. Lisa stayed in detailed communication throughout the whole experience to set everything up for my late contactless check-in, and get the breakfast ready for my early morning departure. She's a super host! I had eggs , bacon, cheese, irish ham, yoghurt and nuts, and everything was delicious. The place has a very charming and welcoming, and had everything I needed for a comfortable stay. I strongly recommend this stay!

A gem in the centre of the vibrant town of Listowel. The room and the hotel facilities were are a modernized version of a traditional grand hotel. The building had a sense of history, situated on the town square and backing on to the River Feale, close to the river path and Greenway.

I happened across the monthly get together of the singers club in the little pub . It was great to spend the evening hearing lovely songs and yarns and they made me feel special and sang some australian songs for me . There was a young girl about 10 who had the most beautiful voice .i will definately time my next visit to join them again.

Downside having to leave
This was my second stay at Dalton House. A lovely property, very comfy and clean. Emma and Matt are wonderful friendly hosts with a warm home from atmosphere. It's worth staying here just to meet Walter :) Tremendous value also. Only a few minutes from Leens Hotel for a nice breakfast. Ample parking and bike storage if you intend cycling the Greenway. Will stay again for sure. Michael.
Absolutely fantastic house and location for our family. Father, Mother, Daughter, Son in Law and two grandchildren. We were spending New Year with family in Abbeyfeale and this home from home was a perfect base for our stay. Fantastic communication from booking to checking out and we will definitely be booking again.
A real gem in a lovely scenic location just up the hill from Abbeyfeale. The breakfast was first class, the host was extremely friendly and welcoming, rooms very clean, great bathroom and comfortable beds. Exceptional value. Honestly, we could not fault our stay here at all and would certainly stay here again.
The room was very comfy, the breakfast was amazing (we recommend the Irish Breakfast, you won’t regret it!) and the host was so kind to us and available for any questions/recommendations! Our stay in Abbeyfeale is probably our favorite of the entire trip!
