Dublin is home to more than a quarter of the entire Republic of Ireland’s population and was originally founded as a Viking settlement. A lot has changed from those Viking days, and Dublin is now famous for its literary history and the most green-spaces of any other European capital, making Dublin a real Irish gem.
Dublin Castle is at the heart of the city's history and Trinity College holds the renowned Book of Kells, a beautifully illustrated manuscript from circa 800 AD. The Ha’penny Bridge is the city’s most photographed landmark and the statue of Molly Malone celebrates the heroine of Dublin’s unofficial anthem.
Dublin is home to many important literary figures including Oscar Wilde, William Yeats, Samuel Beckett and George Bernard Shaw. As the famous location of James Joyce’s “Ulysses”, the city offers tours tracing the protagonist’s footsteps.
Being one of the most youthful European cities, Dublin has a vibrant nightlife scene with the popular Temple Bar area and plenty of bars and pubs, which invite you to stay out until the wee hours of the morning.
The Dublin Airport is the gateway to your Irish holiday, so whether you’re looking for a stylish hotel, a self-catering apartment or a trendy hostel, Booking.com has a perfect deal for your Dublin trip.

It is Dublin, unless you are down for an event, I'm not sure it would be somewhere you would feel the need to stay in for longer than a day or two. The amount of tolls you have to avoid is ridiculous and the driving has become shocking by many.

Wonderful city, and excellent for your honeymoon / couples trip, trip with friends. There are so many different sights to see and great places to eat. We visited and would highly recommend the following:
Pubs/restaurants: The Celt (offers great food and live music), The Merchants Arch (offers great food and live music), The Church Cafe & Bar, (such a great place, former church remade into a restaurant. Great food!), Leo Burdock (supertasty fish & chips), Joy of Cha (home-made pies).
Sightseeing: Jameson Whiskey Distillery, Guinness Storehouse, Book of Kells at Trinity College.

Dublin has the best entertained hop on hop off bus i had so...
Dublin has the best entertained hop on hop off bus i had so far within my travels. There are some interesting msueums as well. Anything else in Dublin is doubtful. In particular at Bachelors Walk where the hoste i stayed is located, has an unpleasant mixture of open drugscene and beggar mafia. It is propably not recommendable to walk there coming back from the pub at late night. If Abbey Court would have washed the linnen of the beds always properly with a temperature minimum 60 degrees Celsius, they would not have catched bed bugs!!!!

It is not easy to get around Dublin, in or out, 35 minutes...
It is not easy to get around Dublin, in or out, 35 minutes to travel 4.5 km in a taxi, we found it very dirty, and many places in the centre quite tacky, especially if you want to sit outside for a nice drink.
We have been there many years in the past visiting my Irish relatives, and were very disappointed this time to see how it has gone downhill.

Dublin was a wonderful city to visit and I hope to visit...
Dublin was a wonderful city to visit and I hope to visit again to see more of the city that I missed during my initial trip. The city is easy navigate by foot, and the taxi service was quick and friendly no matter where you wanted to go. The people were warm, welcoming, and friendly.
Easy access to other side of river. Your service manager, Gabriel, was a gem. Sharp fellow. I needed a plug in charging unit to accommodate my US devices and where I had previously stayed in SW Ireland, both hotels and supplied same. Gabriel overheard my conversation w one of your desk staff, saw I was mildly annoyed, came up and offered help, to wit: he offered me the use of HIS charger plug in during the duration of my trip. That was gracious and he clearly was a very customer oriented manager. That was extremely appreciated.
The staff at Staycity were fantastic. Very friendly and professional. Alex was so helpful! The location is perfect for a stay in Dublin. It is within walking distance of everything you would want to see and visit. Our room was nice and provided all the amenities seen in the photographs. I was very impressed with the black out shade. Coming from America we are use to it getting dark earlier than it did while we were in Ireland. The shade kept the light out very well so we could get a good night's sleep.
This hotel was so cute! I loved the decor of the hotel and the rooms. The bed was comfy. I also enjoyed the smell of the shampoo/conditioner and body wash. The staff was very friendly. My flight landed around 5am in Dublin and I went straight to the hotel so I could have them hold my luggage. They were actually able to let me check in right then which was so nice and convenient. I was able to take a nap for a bit before I spent my first day In Ireland. I would stay at this hotel again.

I loved this hotel, maybe my favourite hotel in Dublin along with sister hotel The Mayson! The staff were so friendly, and the rooms are fab! The food was so good, and location is perfect for access to everything in Dub City Centre by foot! The heated outdoor pool was my favourite part, also checking out at 12 and being able to use the facilities after check out made ahuge difference to our stay
The staff was amazing and very welcoming. They gave us great suggestions for breakfast places nearby and were always ready to help out. The hotel is very close to a major shopping area and a 10 minute walk from Connolly Train Station which is helpful if you want to take public transit to other parts of Ireland. We walked everywhere in Dublin and it was great.
Very close to Dublin City centre . Room was available for early check in. Close to grocery stores, coffee shops, shopping, hop on hop off bus. Very clean throughout hotel . Nice size bedroom and Living room/kitchen . Staff very personable . Breakfast for a charge(€) was good value and lots of choices
Best hotel experience yet! We loved the front desk staff especially the front desk manager. She always had a smile on her face and was super helpful with all our questions about Ireland. I loved that they have a personalized map with the hotel the local attractions and the bus stops! Super helpful
The most comfortable and fun hotel we stayed at all week on our trip to Ireland. Actually didn't really interact with much staff, as check in was automated. Large, modern room, excellent facilities and everything well ordered and running smoothly. Buffet breakfast. We would stay here again.
GREAT location next to St. Patrick’s Cathedral and not too far of a walk from Temple Bar area and Trinity University, as well as Grafton Street. Stayed in two other Maldron hotels during our trip to Ireland and this was by far the best one in terms of cleanliness and amenities.
Great value for money! Perfect location to walk into Dublin City centre near shops and bars! Loved the living room where they had complimentary Whisky and macaroons! Will definitely stay here again when I’m back in Dublin and I have recommended to my friends for a cosy hotel.
This is very nice hotel, built less than 2 years ago so you can still admire its modern design. It is easily accessible by buses from Dublin City centre and Aircoach from Dublin airport. There is a beach across the way from the hotel and one can walk to big Tesco
The hotel is good value for money, it's in close proximity to Dublin City centre and for those who don't drive, there's a bus stop right in front of the hotel.
Also, it's safe. If you're not lodged there, you can't access the room.
The property is stunning. Location is ideal for Dublin City centre. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Services they offer are fantastic. The food is also very good. This hotel is fantastic value for money.
Great location in the city centre! The breakfast was amazing. The staff was very helpful. I would definitely stay here again. Very nice hotel to end my stay in Ireland. Bathroom was clean and had full-size bath.
Great hotel, very clean and the staff are amazing. Fab location 2 mins from Dublin city centre and O'Connell Street. The breakfast is lovely with a great selection of food.
