Great central location in the centre of Clonmel. We were warmly greeted on arrival. Our room was large, with a spacious bathroom, and very comfy bed. Everything was clean, tidy and well maintained. Air conditioning allowed us to easily control the temperature in the room.
Hotel Minella is an elegantly furnished country house on the banks of the River Suir, close to Clonmel town centre and bordered by the Comeragh Mountains.

The breakfast was excellent but glad we went early as it became very busy
Befani's Townhouse is a restored three storey listed building in Clonmel Town Centre. Very central to all amenities including the Suir Blueway for walks and cycling.

Breakfast service was great, really good options.
Bar staff and management exceptional
Located in the heart of Ireland’s Golden Vale, The Carraig Hotel is a 2-minute walk to the River Suir. This 18th-century property offers a traditional bar and a fine restaurant.

There wasn't a great deal to see and do apart from exploring the old streets, town wall etc, and it's a typical old Irish town in many ways. Like most old Irish towns it doesn't make great use of the outdoor spaces despite having a big river in the middle, for example more riverside parks would be great, mostly it was car parks and a quay. Also the pubs were just the usual style, with not much of the way of outdoor areas for a warm day, and no options for anything different like craft beers.

It seemed to us that there were a lot of vacancies in stores down town. Unfortunately we were only able to spend a day in town and it was Sunday so many of the stores were closed. I would like to come back and spend more time there

I stayed at Befani's Mediterranean guest house which exceeded all my expectations. The purpose of my visit was to visit friends. I loved the coffee shops and restaurants. Gave myself lots of time to view places of historical interest. I took a beautiful stroll by the river Suir. I visited the shops and viewed the excellent merchandise where I picked up a few items. I loved the piazza shop under the West Gate who served delicious piazzas and hosted by a very friendly Polish man. I am looking forward to my next trip to Clonmel

Firstly Clonmel was not in my opinion a tourist town. If you need to visit for work, meeting family or just to see a traditional Irish town you will be pleased with the friendliness of the people, the quality of the dining options and the transport network. We went to see where my father was born and were able to retrace his footsteps which was great.. As mentioned the dining options were good and I can single out Sean tierney's bar for a warm welcome, great food and traditional atmosphere.

It's a lively friendly place, well placed for travel to many areas in the South and Southwest of Ireland. There is the campus of Technological University of the Shannon in the town, a wonderful facility.

Lovely old town, on the river perfect location for our needs. I hr 10 mins from Cork airport with Good roads to get you there. Lots of bars and eateries. Some parking, bus service and train to surrounding areas.
Nice simple hotel in the city center. Reasonably furnished and clean rooms, very good restaurant, friendly staff. Clonmel is a great place to enjoy Irish countryside and historical sites.
Hotel was spotless and decorated beautifully. The bar and restaurant were lovely and our bedroom was spacious and very comfortable. Leisure centre was also gorgeous.
