This was such a gem! Beautiful location, charming place, very welcoming hosts. We loved relaxing in both common rooms in the evening by the fire with a glass of wine. The honor bar was great. Breakfast was such a delicious spread. There was also fresh spring water available from well in house entrance. Would highly recommend to anyone and would absolutely stay here again.

We hiked in the Burren National Park (which is free), and that was lovely. It's very rocky, so I'd recommend bringing hiking boots or really durable shoes if you're planning on going on some of the more difficult trails. We ate at Leanne's Lobster Bar and Monk's Seafood - both were great, though their menus do overlap quite a bit (but we enjoyed something different both nights).

Very little choice of places to eat or have a coffee. Tea rooms not open at 11am on Thursday as suggested. Had a fab dinner at Monks and on a return visit next morning at 1130am had great tea n scones in front of blazing stove. Superb.

The hosts were very friendly right from greeting us upon arrival and giving us tips to serving us breakfast before we left. The full Irish breakfast was very good. We had dinner before arriving in Ballyvaughan, and only stayed for one night. We had a car, so it was easy for us to drive into the town centre from there. We would stay there again. We were given tips of sites to see when we left, and one we were glad not to miss was the Poulnabrone Portal tomb.

The Clare Way is a nice way for walkers.

The Clare Way is a nice way for walkers. There are at least two good places to eat out. Some side roads are in a poor state of repair. Clare County Council need to fill the pot holes and try and keep the roads in decent repair. This includes some access routes to this property.

A beautiful traditional Irish village with all you need for a comfortable varied stay in Ireland. Situated between the stunning Burren and the cliffs off the Atlantic Ocean, and nestled on the south side of Galway Bay, Ballyvaughan is ideally located. There are a lot of places to visit in the area. You can swim in the bay or on the nearby Bishop's Quarter beach. In Summer or Winter there are lovely places to visit and in Ballyvaughan alone, the fabulous Monk's seafood restaurant is a great spot with super friendly staff, a warm welcome and really fabulous food. I cannot wait to go back to Ballyvaughan!

Very friendly reception. The landlady is cordial and willing to provide information. The rooms were spacious, clean and in a quiet location on the Cliffs of Moher. The house is almost in the center of the village. Sea, restaurants and harbor are within very short walking distance. A grocery store for shopping is only 50 meters away. Breakfast was extensive and very good. We would try again to book this accommodation on a renewed trip to this place.

We loved this B&B. we felt welcomed like we were family. my kids said it felt like leaving their granny’s house as we departed. It was clean, comfy, and safe, with a lovely breakfast that was my kids’ favorite since we left the US 2 months ago to travel Europe, Africa and Asia. we felt spoiled. <3 overall a great experience. we would definitely stay here again and plan to next trip to Ireland. :)

We had a lovely stay with Gerry and Pauline at Ballyvaughan Lodge really enjoyed the Hospitality and Gerry's great ability to remember names of people he has just met for the first time. Very impressive choice of fruit and cereals for breakfast and the traditional fry up sets you up for the day. Within easy walking distance of nice pubs and restaurants Can highly Recommend

Ballyvaughan is a quiet little town in The Burren and near the bay. Having traveled to Ireland 4 times, we’ve found Ballyvaghan is one of our favorite places to stay. The Wild Atlantic Lodge offers luxurious room and bath accommodations, a fine restaurant, a cozy bar, and off-street parking. The staff is friendly and welcoming as well as knowledgeable and helpful.

Excellent breakfast. Lovely clean room. Very nice & friendly owner. The room was as good as a hotel's and better than most. Nice and quiet with no noisy revellers shouting at 3am like I've often experienced in the best of hotels. Very close to the town so very handy to get to Ballyvaughan town centre. Would highly recommend.

The location was perfect with beautiful views across the sea inlet and further beyond. Ballyvaughan is one of the best spots for a break with excellent restaurants, a well-stocked shop and wonderful pubs and tea rooms. The house was spacious and accessible. We appreciated being able to bring our dogs along with us.

Peaceful, beautiful, relaxing, and healing. Our stay was way too short. Wolfgang and Maria are the most wonderful, helpful, intriguing and engaging couple I've had the pleasure of meeting in Ireland. When I next visit Ireland, I look forward to staying with them longer. The views are amazing.

Fanciest B&B out of 3 trips to Ireland. More formal with paid staff rather than just the owner doing all the work. The breakfast room is more like a restaurant with a huge buffet of fresh fruits and homemade fruit compotes.
