The dive spot is incredible and the beach is connected to the resort. The diving instructors were helpful and supportive. They were flexible with cancelations (I had a stomach issue and couldn't do the last dive) . Rooms are clean.

This is the best place to stay in the Tulamben area. The beds are so comfortable. The food is delicious and the staff is so kind. After a morning of diving or snorkeling, the massage staff is heavenly. The new Monkey bungalows are perfect for small families. I hated to leave!

The staff at Liberty Dive are exceptional. I found them to be consistently friendly, extremely helpful, efficient and resourceful. For example we asked about climbing Mt Agung and within 5 minutes, the concierge had organised a driver and guide for that night. When we checked out, the billing was meticulous.
We visited at a very quiet time of year, however the restaurant was always available with delicious meals.
The villas and pool were beautifully presented and spotlessly clean.
Overall it was a great experience, the excellent staff being the highlight.

Tulamben is a great, quiet place to stay if you like diving. There are a number of diving operators based there. There are a range of restaurants assocated with the diving hotels, and also tasty local Warungs available for the more adventurous. I recommend a 3 night stay to enjoy the diving opportunities here. Tulamben is nestled between the rocky beach and the mountains and is very beautiful.

Go there to dive the Liberty wreck only. The "coral gardens" supposedly off the resort are quite poor, Jemeluk is better. The food at the resort was excellent, but I was so annoyed at being given the wrong villa that I didn't eat there after the first night. This issue with the ocean view villas has happened to others as well- make sure you are given what you have paid for.

Tulamben is a dive resort town.
Tulamben is a dive resort town. You will mostly be interacting with other divers from around the world, dive masters, dive instructors, and dive guides. There are some very friendly and helpful store operators and some delightful restaurants but it has little to interest the general traveller. There is not much reason to come here unless you intend to do some diving or snorkelling on the many underwater attractions. You could also use it as a base from which to climb the volcano Mount Agung which hangs in the background of the town like a Damocles Sword.

Tulamben is a diving mecca with volcanic sand and many different dive sites. I only had one day, but I did three dives. I'll go back for more, as the diving is worth it. The reefs did appear to be very busy, but if you meet the right people, I am sure you'll get away from the crowds. I'd like to see more of what Tulamben has to offer.

Quite location , remote so good hotel is important. Travelled to Amed daily to enjoy view and more range of bars/ restaurants entertainment. Though great to go back to remoteness and quite of Tulamben each evening. Plenty to see on the way back to Kuta such as Virgin Beach

Nice place for divers, snorkelers and swimmers. Very reach marine life. Get in touch with Yury Ivanov affiliated with Matahari dive resort. He is an expert on nudibranch and little creatures which are plentiful in area around property. If you are experienced solo diver staff may let you dive solo even at night. I did six night solo dives there.
Mimpi is mainly a dive resort. It has direct beach access which few resorts have in Tulamben . The resort is well looked after and has lovely grounds. Beds are comfortable and showers always hot. WIFI works well.Water refill stations around the hotel ensure less use of plastic bottles.
The dive centre is well organized and the dive times are flexible according to guests wishes. We had a 2:1 ratio of divers to guide which is excellent. We would happily go back on our next dive trip to Bali.
The location right on the beach was excellent.
The setup for diving seemed to operate smoothly and it is a good spot for people who want to dive the shipwreck.
The shipwreck can be snorkelled as it is not very deep and there is a nice coral garden near the rocks at the far left end of the beach as you look at the ocean from the restaurant.

Really quiet time of year. So relaxing. We hadn't dived due to covid since doing our OW cert in 2019 so it was great to have a dive master who made us feel exceptionally comfortable. Easy diving from beach, lots to see. Food simple but well presented and tasty. Local options are the best. Room spacious clean and comfortable although bed too firm for my partners taste. Views over the ocean from everywhere.
The family running this place was very welcoming. I think this is a great place for diving and snorkeling. It's right on the beach, and there is a lot to see in the ocean. They also have 2 swimming pools which is great. We had a good time there overall despite the fact that we did not dive.
Great little resort, very friendly staff, nice pool, nice rooms, decent restaurant. I did a dive with them to the wreck which was fantastic and would highly recommend them for diving. They also have snorkeling gear you can rent which we did on the first day there which was very nice too.
Large room and bathroom, central location that's close to many dive shops and restaurants (though many closed during low season), friendly staff, and free shuttle anytime (often picked up by the boss himself) to the main Alba resort to enjoy the ocean view and excellent food there.
We had a great time staying here! We wanted to dive the ship wreck and we had an amazing experience. The venue is very good and the staff is extremely friendly and helpful. We would absolutely recommend this location if you're looking to stay somewhere to dive in Tulamben!
Bali Dive Centre and Spa. We stayed for 3 days to do the PADI open water dive training and also a refresher session. The instructor Sam was a brilliant teacher and made the experience. The hotel was also excellent with good food in the restaurant
It's a good for value hotel in Tulamben area. Their restaurant serves good quality food, do try their "Ayam Plecing" is one of the best so far, don't forget to mention the spiciness level. The staff were all friendly and ready to help you.
An excellent little resort with lovely spacious detached rooms. Excellent location for diving the Liberty wreck with dive shops very close by. Good home cooked food with decent choice at fabulous prices.
