They asked a fair price for the corner room. -The view in the photo shows more 'sea' than you can really see, you can't beat the location! Our accommodation cancelled on us the day before, so we were increadibly happy with this last minute option that MamaLu offered. We couldn't open the window because it smelt of fishy oil from the frier below, but the room had a good airco system, which kept the room cool. Restaurant was very good too.

Wonderful hotel situated on a beautiful location, right next to the beach, close by foot to the centre of Cres. The area around the hotel is peaceful and green.
Breakfast and dinner was great, I especially liked the fact that they are using local, quality ingredients like fish, swiss chard, salad and olive oil. The hotel has a beutiful terrase where you can sit during breakfast or dinner.
It was better than I expected it to be, and I am surprised that this hotel doesn't have 4 stars since it was by far better than many 4 stars hotels in other European countries.

Good restaurants ( "Na moru" is the best )...Nice small fishing village...Friendly people....It is not easy to walk around as the roads and walkways are to stiff... Lack of parking space...No other facilities are available as of this time ( mid June) .. like beach umbrellas, reclining chairs, toilets on the beach, ....To many dogs roaming around....

Perfect place to stay close to the sea, each building is in the centre, so it is really small lovely village, with a few restaurant with delicious food, beautiful beaches around (also if you walk longer distance, you will have beach just for yourself). I would definitely recommend this location, but not for those who looking for night life. But for calm relaxing vacation with romantic surroundings. Also good location for trips around the Cres Island (We visited Cres, lovely Lubenica a her Sv.Ivan beach, Velki a Mali Losinj and few small villige by the road and sea)

Perfect small place for a great vacation! Nice restaurants with great food, beautiful beaches, one of the most beautiful views from above the village, and perfect peace and quiet during your stay... :)
We recommend restaurants Na moru, MaMaLu and Toš-Juna - great fish, calamari, and 'home'-wine (istrian malvasia)!

Valun is the perfect place to just relax, interspersed with...
Valun is the perfect place to just relax, interspersed with swimming, reading, eating and being mesmerised by the beautiful view. The village is built on a very steep hill and one has to be good on foot to get around. We came with a suitcase - I don't recommend that. Next time we will travel with backpacks, these are easier to carry up the many stairs.

Valun is a dream destination for active people, romantic...
Valun is a dream destination for active people, romantic souls and gourmets of all ages, not passive consumers of global entertainment. Simple advice. Look down the window of the Seaside apartments to see if there is a free sea kayak, borrow it directly, and head out to meet the empty wild beaches of the Valun Bay.
Many thanks Dear Milena for a tip on a string concert in the local chapel. We really did not expect to listen to Antonin Dvorak at Cres, and for your excellent home Limoncello served at our "farewell street party". We will remember..............
