Since we couldn't drive our car into the pedestrian zone, the hotel provided a parking area outside of old town, and transported us and our luggage to the hotel by a shuttle. AND carried our bags to the rooms since there was no elevator. The reception room was a wonderful place to gather, with comfortable seating for all 8 of us.
Breakfast was excellent with a vast choice of meats, fruits, breads and eggs.

Excellent boutique hotel. Superb location in the old town. Ana and the team are superb friendly and very helpful. They organised our transfer from our parking, which made it so easy, they organised bikes and gave great restaurant tips. Their signature cocktail is highly recommended at their 'speak easy bar'.

For us this was some relaxing time spent in rovinj during a road trip of Europe so we were not looking to do a huge amount whilst here. The old town is beautiful to wander around & the church & clock tower up on the hill. There are lots of restaurants to sit outside by the sea/harbour for coffee & meals. Pula is about 40 mins away & apparently very nice to visit so will do that on our next visit to Rovinj. Plenty if options for panoramic boat tours & dolphin spotting tours.
We took the little tourist train that trundles around the area but wouldn't actually recommend this as it is one way & much too far to walk back, and we are walking people. Plus the destination was just a holiday complex - nothing to see or do there so it was all rather disappointing. But the driver was great - we didn't actually say we were disappointed but he didn't accept our payment for the return journey.

We have traveled extensively around the world and had never heard the name Rovinj before. Both my neighbors in NZ are Croatian and neither said to go there if you are in the north of Croatia. This village in our opinion will become at lot more popular as more learn about it.. It is one of the highlights of our European trip this year.

Rovinj is beautiful! Go in the off season and enjoy! I especially recommend eating prawns/scampi while looking at the beautiful sea. And do NOT go on a holiday weekend (as we did). The traffic was terrible!!!

Loved being able to walk all around town, down by the beach and up (!!) to the cathedral. Shopping was really great, especially for clothes. We took a guided tour of the old town which helped us orient ourselves.
The streets were bustling with tourists and residents, and a good vibe.
Lots of good restaurants!

Rovinj in Croatia is a stunning destination worth visiting.
Rovinj in Croatia is a stunning destination worth visiting. This charming coastal town boasts picturesque old streets, vibrant waterfront cafes, and a rich cultural history. The crystal-clear waters of the Adriatic Sea and the breathtaking sunsets make Rovinj especially captivating.
The location on Katarina Island is beautiful, the beach and water are extremely nice (pebbles/rock slabs, no sand beaches). The breakfast selection was good. Most staff members were very nice. Housekeeping did a good job. I liked that it was a very private location, as the property takes up the entire island and you need to take a boat to get there from Rovinj. There are outside visitors to the beaches, but there weren't very many when we visited. Our kids loved the hotel and the water sports/game room they offered.
Food at all restaurants was very tasty. Even sandwiches and snacks by the pool where of best quality and left us amazed.
Stayed at suite which was one of the best designed and most beautifull rooms we have ever seen. All the rooms are with a view to sea and a beatifull old town of Rovijn. Simply amazing!
Attention to detail, the location of hotel and staff's friendliness gave us an ultimate experience. The hotel just breathes with quality and luxury. Loved every minute of our stay and definetely coming back.
Great place for a couple or family. Superb location in the heart of the old town. The apartments are in a heritage building but nicely renovated, furniture and appliances are modern and clean. The higher, the better (sea view!), however, steep stair and no elevator may be a serious problem for elderly or disabled guests. Apartments are operated by a hotel, parking and breakfast are available for a separate price (moderate) at a different location. Personnel is friendly and helpful. Totally recomend!
Lovely hotel situated about 20minutes walk from rovinj old town . The hotel is surrounded by beautiful trees and lawned areas .Lovely walks and bike hire available in the forest park The pool area is good and free sun beds/ umbrellas on the gravel beach appreciated. We enjoyed the restaurant. The breakfast was particularly good and a good variety of choices for dinner. Our Bedroom was large and well equipped with a lovely view over the trees toward the Pool.
Beautiful, high quality apartment, very boutique! The owners have given out lot of hard work to make this amazing home. Everything is very high tech, beautiful stylish furnishings, spacious, outdoor space, laundry room and parking. Stunning beaches less than 10 minutes away and Rovinj old town is about 20 minutes walk away. Grocery stores are 7 minutes walk away. The hosts are very friendly and helpful highly recommended!
It is a beautiful apartment in the old town, close to the promenade of restaurants at the marina. Mira was a wonderful host. She cooked us Croatian pancakes and made us coffee. She also gave us a bottle of very tasty wine. She is delightful. The parking spot is close - one just needs to rely on their gps to maneuver along the narrow street before turning right and parking by the tree with the sign on it.
All was fine, very good. Property is good value for money you pay. Location is very convenient, close walking distance to the beach and old town. Stuff is nice, paid attention to all our requests. Parking is included. There is a pool in front. breakfast was delicious. Everything is clean and epidemiological Covid 19 measures were on place. Warm recommendation to this place, Rovinj and Croatia overall.
The hotel is situated close to the Old town and city center, and also very close to the newly renovated Mulini beach. The staff at the hotel are really great, very friendly and helpful. The buffet breakfast is excellent, and we also had our dinner there. The room we were in was very clean, it had a large double and one single bed, and a large terrace. I truly recommend hotel Squero to everyone!
Perfect location in walking distance to stari grad. Rooms are modern with working air conditioning units and clean bathrooms with great water pressure .Generous Croatian breakfast which we enjoyed outdoors on their terrace. We parked our car right by the hotel. Our family of four needed a Suite Room and a Single Room. Perfect fit! Hvala!!
Accommodation very neat and functional for two people. The location of the accommodation is fantastic, close to everything (Market, bakery, restaurants, boutiques, port, main square, old town), and yet you have peace and you can relax without noise. The host is very kind and in the mood for any necessary information and help.
Beautiful hotel, excellent service, friendly staff, delicious food. A place where you are so close, yet far enough away from the old town to relax and enjoy the beauties it has to offer.
Amazing view, clean rooms, almost perfect. We will definitely come back again!!!
Grüße an das gesamte Hotelpersonal, Sie sind wunderbar 😊
Perfectly situated in the Old Town of Rovinj.
Walking distance to everything including some beaches. Irena was very kind and available to provide all the information we needed. Gave a us a handmade gift at the end which was so sweet!
Location of the hotel was good, easy to get to and a short walk from the old town. The Breakfast was very nice , a good choose of quality food. The room had a lot of room but had to be careful in places because of the sloping roof.
it was very easy to access the hotel, the beach and the old town, and my biggest worry about parking was solved I was able to park safely in the hotel's private parking lot, the room was clean and the hotel staff was friendly.
Great boutique hotel, right where you need to be. The manager was terrific, she went above and beyond to make my stay a really nice one. Although they don't have breakfast, there are lots of options close by.
the garden, the terasses, the pools are nice, comfortable, enough sunbed and umbrellas, excellent free transfer to Rovinj, good restaurants on the island, no crowded areas and beaches
Close to the old town around 7 minutes by walking. The hotel provides you a parking ticket which you can use around the parking places at beach and close to the hotel.
Unique boutique hotel on quite and quaint street. The staff is unbelievable, such hospitality 24/7. One of my favorite places I’ve ever stayed, 15/10 would recommend!
