The location was excellent, situated right on a gorgeous beach with a plethora of restaurants all within walking distance. The staff and locals are very friendly and helpful. The hotel staff went above and beyond to provide a clean and comfortable accommodation and i would recommend this hotel to anybody exploring Croatia.

They recently renovated their hotel and their rooms are now completely modern. I had a pleasent relaxing stay and really enjoyed their wellness space. We managed to change rooms after begging the receptionist as the first room smelled badly of cigarette smoke. Second evening diggers were moving until at least 11pm. Really noisy. That said it was a long way from the city and expensive to commute, but did have a nice restaurant that looked out at the beach from the rear of the hotel.

Podstrana is probably over crowded in high summer, but it was pretty empty in May when people prefer to stay in Split.
We found it a perfect balance - 30 minutes to Dioclesian's Palace by bus, with a return costing €2.50 (with the Promet Split App), yet with properties right by the beach.
The place is quiet in May (and I assume totally closed in winter), which is good, but for example we had trouble finding anything to eat on Sunday afternoon, with shops closed.
People are really friendly and it seems the whole of Dalamatia is relatively safe.

The main coast road between Split and Dubrovnik (route 8)...
The main coast road between Split and Dubrovnik (route 8) runs through Podstrana so it can be quite busy at times. However there are some really nice places to eat such as Hotel Eden and restaurant Arkada, both of which are mid-price range (but expensive if you have wine), but worth a visit at least once. Less expensive local eateries are about, but we were only there for 3 nights and made the most of it. There are several supermarkets along the main road for groceries etc. Most of the "beach" area appears to be pebbly/rocky, although we did not explore very far from our hotel. There is a main bus route through Podstrana which links it with Split centre.
Due to personal circumstances we did not venture very far so are unable to rate other possible attractions in the town.

Plaza cista i uredna U sklopu cijene imate bukvalno sve,samo ponesite licne stvari.
Domacini su vise nego ljubazni i vode racuna da gostu nista ne nedostaje.
Hrana ukusna i veoma dobar i velik izbor.

I was staying just 2 nights so mainly relaxing. LOcation is good for exploring surroundings. I was hoping to go horse-riding on the mountains,but time was too short. Enough to see for a coulpe of days and beaches are good. Prices near the big hotel are more than in elsewhere in Croatia, but there's choice.

Quite far out from Split, expensive restaurants and expensive for sun beds/umbrellas at the beach, €40 Be careful of scam taxi drivers, we used Uber, it was average €15/€20 into and out of Split, we picked a taxi up on the street and he charged us €42.50 one way.

I can only guess that it was the time of year but there were very few restaurants or bars open.
The ride to the centre of Split is about 20 minutes in a taxi - we did attempt to walk on day but certainly for the first 3 to 4 km, there was no footpath.
Apart from some beaches, we found little of interest in Podstrana
Excellent service by personnel both at the reception (thanks Michael!), restaurant and pool area. Very clean. Very good breakfast.
We had dinner at the restaurant once and both food and service were very good. The hotel provides good recommendation on restaurants for dinner (the only time we chose ourselves following great online reviews we had a dreadful experience).
Bus stop next to the hotel to go to Split (2.50 EUR each way, modern air conditioned bus, it took 40 min to the city with morning traffic, 20 min on the way back).
The location was superb and so was our exceptional host. Beautiful beach opposite and the pool was a lovely bonus. We were two families and had booked two apartments. The apartments were so well equipped, clean and modern with air con. We were very lucky and would definitely recommend to others. Croatia is a beautiful place make sure you visit the Krka Waterfalls, Split town and Hvar you won't be disappointed. These apartments are ideally located just outside of Split and you can get an Uber or bus into town.
Beautiful apartments. Very spacious and comfortable with air conditioning. Beach very close by and a wide range of restaurants and cafes. The host, Lada, was unbelievable with us and very friendly. We were a group of 10 boys who had come from hideout festival for a couple days extra in Split, and it was perfect for us. The bus goes from Podstrana every half an hour and the last bus is at 12am back. If you miss the bus you can also get an Uber or taxi for 200 kuna which is perfect between 4 people!
The room is good, in an old building or at least with that old hotel vibe, but good room nevertheless.
The balcony overlooked the sea which was great, with a place to dry off your things, the access to the sea was a little tough but ok. The rooms are above a restaurant, which is actually good. I chose the place as an alternative to visit Split and I’m not sorry. the bathroom was a little small but ok. For me the best part was the bed, it was great!! so far the best bed I found in Croatia! 10/10!!
My stay in Beach Guesthouse Mediteran in Podstrana was absolutely fantastic - warm and welcoming owners, apartment was very clean, well-equipped and cosy, balcony was with garden and sea view. Location is perfect- just several steps to the beach, close to Split, airport and Omis. Bus stop, food shop and bakery is very close. Special THANKS for the owners for their kind attitude towards my dog:). Everything was perfect, definitely recommend this place!

I really liked this hotel and place in general. All rooms are with amazing sea view and Split view. The hotel is not big, so very quiet and cozy atmosphere. Beach was nice and clean with two cafes, incredible sunset. Breakfasts was testy, for me was enough dishes. Location is very comfortable, not far from city and the same time you can enjoy more nature and clean beach. Next time I will come again to this hotel :)
The hotel is amazing and the staff really great. They helped me with all my questions and requests concerning ehat to do amd where to go. Everything is new and comfortable in the rooms. The sea is directly in front of the hotel and split is only a short drive away. The same goes for Omis where I went rafting and canioning. The brealfast was also super nice. All in all a great experience. Would recommend :)
I really liked the villa type of accommodation. The pool, jakuzi and sauna was there. The beach is just in front of you and it’s a walking distance.
The staff was excellent! And also don’t go anywhere nearby for your dinner! The hotel has a very nice restaurant with delicious food! Your only exception could be going to Split for dinner and sightseeing.
Everyone was kind and it was a relaxed atmosphere. We were traveling off season and see we're treated to a beautiful room overlooking the sea, where we could watch the sunset, breakfast for two and smiling faces.

We had a bit of a logistics issue, the host had our back regarding bad Taxi drivers. We were also accommodated some fine homemade Croatian beverages which were delightful.

Location and sceneries. It's easily to travel to/from Split. It has a nice and secluded beach front with picturesque paths to get to the beach. Also, it's easy to walk along the coast to get to various restaurants along the coast. We enjoyed the fireworks during our stay!
We were at Croatia for the first time and stayed at Permarinus apartments for a week. The apartment was very clean and everything we needed was minutes walking away. To go to the center of Split, it was a 20minutes ride with the Uber. We loved it here!
Beautiful setting on the beach surrounded by lush garden. Great breakfast included on lovely terrace and fabulous fish dinner on request. Easy bus ride into Split. Perfect spot with frie dly owners who made everyone feel welcome!
