The apartment we stayed in was clean, bed was comfortable and the shower was excellent. It is located above a restaurant and next to the road but with the windows shut the noise was minimal. The view across the sea from our window was beautiful. There is a small bakery across the road (next to the carpark) which had nice pastries and good variety of fresh bread. Beaches (Stoney) are a 5-10 minute walk in either direction along the coast. Beautiful clear water, perfect for swimming.
You can order food from the restaurant below to be sent to your room which was a nice touch. On request our host even provided a little step/stool for our son to reach the sink/toilet easier.
Fantastic location, you're 15 minutes drive from the ferry to Pag (Shingle/sand beaches), 30 minutes drive from the ferry port to Rab island (If you're after a sandy beach you'll want to go there), 60ish minutes from Senj and 90 minutes from Plitvice Lakes National Park. Stating the obvious a bit but a hire car is essential if you're basing your stay from Karlobag.
On the way back from the Lakes, we stopped at Restoran Malo Misto on the D25 for food and it was excellent.

The owners of Solovi Dvori are very nice, helpful and friendly people. We needed a parking space for 5 days to go hiking in the mountains before staying at their place and they let us park at their place (pre-season), hvala puno! Ivan built/rebuilt the small house himself with many lovely details. It's also very cutely decorated and well equipped (full kitchen accessories, even a washing machine). The house was spotlessly clean, we were very amazad, thank you! The king size bed is very comfortable and we slept very well in a quiet surrounding. The beach is only a few minutes away by foot, also a few restaurants, two studenac supermarkets and the bus stop. Very recommendable stay close by the Adria but still in quiet surroundings.

The great Tatinja beach is nearby, and if you want to go further away, there is also a choice of various secluded bathing spots with beautiful rocks. A wonderful path along the sea leads to the city center or to the opposite side just for a walk
Karlobag is a great place to base yourself for a few days.
Karlobag is a great place to base yourself for a few days. You have access to ferry ports taking you to Pag and Rab which are both beautiful islands. You can also take the road inland to visit the Plitvice Lakes National Park which is incredible. I would recommend getting there early as it gets busy quickly.

Only for those, who are looking for a quiet place. No crowd but also no shops, restaurants etc. within the village. Nevertheless, not far with car in the other villages.
Sunset can be seen.
The sea is nice but the panorama is not the infinite, but an island with naked sand & rocks.

There were not a lot of tourist, enough space on the beach for everyone. It is small town and you could walk everywhere, you do not need to use the car.

During summer season there is lot of good restaurants where you can eat. In Karlobag is located gas station several shops and apotheke. In town there is post office and few possibillities where to exchange money.

Karlobag is a perfect place dor those who like and seek more adventure in the mountains and combine it with beautiful sea.
I would say it's a small place more for family, or couples who like peace and quiet or just adventurers who wanna be close to the Velebit mountain.

It's great place to stay with kids, it's calm and small, not so crowded. Restaurants offer great sea food and fish for good prices (especially OK Karlobag). And it's like 1.5 hours drive to Plitvicka lakes so if you've got enough of sunbathing, you can go for a trip over there.
The appartment was very clean and modern, with full equipment, also dishwasher. We liked the big terrace with sea-view and complete privacy. The beach was 15 m, with reserved places and clean water. The host family was lovely and friendly. Small grocery shop is few steps, but bit expensive, you can drive few km to Karlobag to make bigger shopping what is no problem. We'd love to come back again.
Our host was wonderful, she waited for us with a little surprise, was always there if we needed anything. Price-quality ratio: perfect! We had a wonderful time in Karlobag, can recommend the location and the host 100%
