Amazing location with easy access into town via bus right outside hotel. Great facilities with beautiful sea views and lots of bars and restaurants to choose from. It’s a bit on the pricey side but value for money when you consider the facilities and how well you’re looked after. And it is 5 star after all.

FAQs about hotels in Dubrovnik

The Pearl of the Adriatic

A medieval beauty full of magnificence and glory, Dubrovnik is surrounded by white stone walls. Located on the Adriatic coast of Croatia, this masterpiece is one of the most promising tourist destinations.

Passing through the imposing stone gate of Pile Gate, you will find yourself immersed in history. Take a walk in the narrow streets of this charming city, enjoy a cup of coffee in one of the colourful cafés, or order fresh fish in one of the outdoor restaurants.

Surrounded by turquoise waters, Dubrovnik Old Town sights include the picturesque Stradun, Onofrio fountain and the Franciscan monastery.

The city’s cable car will take you up to Mount Srd from where you can savour panoramic views over the treasures of this UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Buses connect Dubrovnik Airport with the city centre, and Booking.com offers a variety of hotels, apartments, and guest houses throughout.

The old town had a lovely feel to it, full of locals and tourists of all different nationalities. It felt extremely safe and was kept very clean and tidy. The shop assistants, waiters/waitresses were so friendly, polite and helpful. The buses are air conditioned, comfortable and punctual and the timetable/bus routes easy to navigate. The taxis were very punctual always turned up at exactly the right time and place and very clean. Food and drinks are a bit pricey but always good quality. We stayed two weeks, we could easily have stayed longer.

Dubrovnik is beautiful but has become very crowded, cruise ships not helping. The location and the old town are very beautiful but the number of cultural attractions is limited. The old town is almost pure tourist, with many eateries, bars and tourist shops, but very few ordinary shops. Prices are high. We enjoyed our two days and nights there, although we were a bit inhibited in moving around by 35 degree heat (unusual for mid-June) and high humidity. We only ate one restaurant meal, which was OK bur expensive. As we were not very hungry owing to the heat, we mainly ate at M'arden, where we were staying, which is delightful.

it is a very fascinating old town, Mediaeval castle is very fascinating. The people were so helpful and lovely. The water was pure and possibly the best water I’ve ever tasted in my travels. My husband and I stayed in Lappad Hotel which is a few kilometres away from the old town. Would totally recommend the service there 10 out of 10 and the head chef you couldn’t ask for more.

While I see lots of positive reviews I feel that the city is way overpriced and especially in the old town they just seem to want to get as much money from the tourist as they can. Unless you want to walk up around the walls at a cost of 35 euro then there is very little to do apart from going on a boat trip or take the cable car ride which again a crazy price. I will not visit again.

Hotel Adria where we stayed was excellent.

Hotel Adria where we stayed was excellent. The old walled city is easily accessible via very good public bus services. The walk around the fortification walls is well worth doing although it is pretty crowded at the best of times and packed when cruise ships are docked. The best times to make the walk are either very early in the morning or in the late afternoon. The €45 city pass is worth getting as it includes access to the walls and a number of the main attractions and to free bus travel.

I really love this part of Dubrovnik. The hotel complex offers you a kind of isolation from the hustle and bustle of the old town. I love the large reception area, lovely and modern rooms with soft carpets and lovely bathrooms. I like the excellent food they serve for regular meals. I like restaurants by the sea and interestingly used rocks that have been turned into a beach. I love the smell of flowers that you can smell while walking on the promenade. We are happy to return to the Royal.

One of the best small hotels I've ever been to: Magnificent sea views, great location (walking distance to Dubrovnik Old Town; above Bellvue Beach), superb food, free wine/water/ev charging and some sweets in the evening, incredibly friendly & helpful staff (they even prepared a list of great restaurant options outside the hotel - well, we didn't need it, but still nice!), very attentive on children's needs. Just a perfect experience. Thanks for that wonderful time.

The room is nothing short of spectacular. It's bright, modern, and well equipped. Our hostess Erna greeted us on our way to the room and spent some time with us explaining about the room and Dubrovnik. She even provided coffee for us! She followed up regularly to see if we needed anything. Located in Old Town allowed us free access to the many sights of Dibrovnik. The shower is the best we've had in 4 weeks travels! 100% would stay again.

Very convenient location by the Gruz port where our biking & boating trip ended. A quick bus trip (#6) to Dubrovnik's Old Town from here (so convenient that we decided this was the right choice for us instead of staying in the busy Old Town area). A wonderful walking area and promenade in front of the hotel. A few nice restaurants nearby (although the Orka next door seemed pricey). Hotel room was well-appointed and comfortable.

The location is perfect, inside the walls but no need to walk many stairs to reach the house. So you get the best of both worlds here. The room was clean and had everything we needed. Even if we stayed only 2 nights there, the host kindly left us 2 sets of towels for each which came in handy. The host gave us a warm welcome at our arrival. This place is perfect for a short stay in Dubrovnik if you want to stay inside the Old Town.

Host Vlaho was super helpful - met me in central Dubrovnik to give me keys and show me around, and came to the apartment for check out. Apartment perfectly situated in the old town. So glad we chose this rather than an out of town hotel. Everything in the apartment was clean and beautifully presented, the beds were super comfy and the two bedrooms both good sizes with option of double or two single beds.
