Great hotel.. AMAZING pool.. location a little out of the way... but if you do like a walk, there is an amazing locals beach about 30 mins walk away.. St Thomas' Beach. One thing to note is that rooms 601 and 602 are accessible rooms.. we were originally put in one of those... they don't have forest views.. it looks over the entrance driveway of hotel... and the bathroom is a wet room that floods... so unless you require an accessible I would not accept that room... thankfully were moved after one night and they refunded half the cost of the room via our expendables in the hotel. Brilliant restaurant close by called Denis... food really awesome and reasonable.

We loved our stay at Aria Apartments. It was very quiet/breathtaking mountain views from our apartment. Good location to visit the different areas. A wonderful very clean pool which was a bonus to swim before or after our outings. Quite a few places to eat locally if you didn't want to drive too far at night, Thalia the owner very friendly was on hand for anything you needed, tips to go places, etc. She was on site every day at some point. The garden area was very well looked after and as there is a small bar there were tables to sit out on an evening which was great! The whole vibe was very laid back and we will definitely visit Aria apartments again when we head back to Kefalonia

Whilst it is not on the beach it is only a few minutes drive away. The village has a very good selection of bars and restaurants that are all within easy walking distance. Supermarkets are also very close buy, there are 3 on the main 'strip' that will see you through the week happily.
We liked the location alot and would happily return

Nice village with good restaurants, not all open yet as it is early season.
Be aware that without a car it is a longish hilly walk to the beach and particularly back up! We have known this for years and act accordingly.

Very hilly so not for the unfit! Lots of lovely restaurants and a few classy bars, most with beautiful views of the coastline and sunset. Recommend Butterworld - great service and delicious breakfast options and ice cream. 3 good supermarkets with all the essentials. A 25 min walk down to Lourdas beach which has loads of shades, sunbeds, showers and bars with a shallow sea and smooth sand - perfect for kids. A short bus ride into Argostoli which was 2 Euros each.

Great area of Kefalonia with excellent restaurants / taverns and nice beaches close by. Definitely good to have a rental car to explore the small cities nearby or explore the beautiful beaches in the North of the island.

Quiet village away from the more touristy towns of Argostoli...
Quiet village away from the more touristy towns of Argostoli and Simi. Great base to explore Kefalonia, but must have a car, as buses are infrequent. Lots of amenities, but never feels like a busy spot. Kanali is a magnificent nudist-friendly isolated beach, while Lourdata is organized (loungers, umbrellas, cafe's and restaurants close-by). The sea water is super clean, I personally preferred these two over the more popular beaches on the island.

Great location if you enjoy a steep walk to the nearby beach (Kanali) which is undeveloped (no beds or umbrellas) and beautiful (a great way to stay fit during your holiday!)
A good selection of tavernas in the locality.
