The room was spacious and clean, and with a good shower. The location it was good for our walks and not far from the main street with all the restaurants and facilities. Staff were friendly. The room It had a spacious big veranda with a beautiful view of the island.

The room was spotlessly clean and exactly as shown in the pictures. It's 2 minutes walking distance from one of the best beaches in Schinousa and about 12 mins from Chora with many bars restaurants and markets. The owners are a family from the island extremely friendly and attentive and provided useful local advice. We were treated with goods from their lovely garden. The room had all necessary items fridge espresso machine air-condition hot water, internet, even marmelada and toast. Fantastic views over gulf of livadi and the sea from the balconies and patios downstairs.

This is an outstanding place to stay in Schinoussa. Yiannis and his family are great hosts. The room is modern, clean and very comfortable. The location is ideal. Yiannis picked us up from the ferry and provided lots of suggestions for tavernas, scooter rentals, things to do, and information about the island. We had a fantastic holiday on Schinoussa and a big part of that was due to the very high quality of our accomodation. Absolute top marks in every category.

We loved this property. Stylish interior with bathroom and small kitchenette area and patio. Slow Wi-Fi as others have said which mean’t that we didn’t have any distractions and read lots of books and played games :) Extremely helpful owner and such a friendly and smiley lady who cleans the accommodation each day and a lift to and from the port. Super close to the sandy beach and comfortable little chairs to take to sit on. A 10 minute walk up to the very attractive and authentic feeling Chora. Perfect leg stretch after a lazy day on the beach and downhill on the way back. A good selection of bars and tavernas. We extended our stay.

Amazing accommodation. Quite big, exceptionally clean, even the balcony. There were fresh fruits,bread butter, jam for breakfast. 5min walk from the village. Personal is quite friendly and helpful. Wifi is fast. A real diamond is such small island

We have been to Schinoussa several times since around 1999. In all those years it has remained largely unchanged, which is lovely to see (although it's good there is now an ATM!). It is wonderfully peaceful, with some lovely beaches that are all within walking distance of the Chora.

A quiet island in May.
A quiet island in May. There are several beaches, but often with rocks in the immediate seabed. Of all the Small Cyclades group of islands as well as nearby Naxos and Amorgos, this is the worst island for hiking, due to the highest number of fences and large closed off private properties.
Positive is the quite strong agricultural activity going on, also the general friendliness of the people. There are a couple of good restaurants around. My favorite were 'Cafe Peri' for breakfast and restaurant 'Deli' for dinner.
Be careful, when you book an accomodation at the beginning or end of the season. The price of the hotel I stayed in (Ailouros) was Eur 63 per night, when I booked one month earlier (with booking.com) and Eur 36, when I stayed there end of May.

Pretty island with nice views to the sea from all directions. Quite small so everything can be reached by foot. Clean waters to swim and few of the beaches had natural shadow too. Great greek food and pastries.

Favorite island of the Small Cyclades. No too big, not too busy, just the right combination of nature and services. Natural shade at uncrowded beaches, wonderful boats tours, great tavernas, lovely people and charming village. Dreamy island that will evoke your escapist fantasies.

This is a very small island, if you just want peace and...
This is a very small island, if you just want peace and quiet this is the place to be. I will say that we went on Oct so it might be a bit more crowded during the high season, but still, I can be certain that if what you want is partying and shopping in between your beach sessions, do yourself a favour and stay away.

Lovely beaches all around the island.
Lovely beaches all around the island. Lots of walks along tracks with spectacular views to other islands - no need to hire a car. A very pretty village in the centre of the island with a great bakery, two or three supermarkets and a wide range of places to eat.
