Very quiet, clean and well-maintained. We visited in the offseason and had the place almost to ourselves. Gorgeous view overlooking the town and the sea. The town was utterly charming and even the downside (the walk down to the town for every meal) made for an interesting experience. The pool was very clean but cold! Easy free parking.

The breakfast at Madares Restaurant (directly downstairs from our rooms) was great! But it was apparently not included in the room rate we paid.. Once we had checked in, the hotel was very familiar to us, as we had stayed in the same rooms five years ago (2018), but at that time they were sold as Madares Hotel rooms, not Anna Hotel! I'm still confused by the name change. When I asked the staff, they said: "Yes, the Madares Anna Hotel." :-D We LOVED the location (as we had before).. the view from the balcony of the village and the bay.. the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff, both the maids and the servers in the restaurant..

I chose Anapoli because of it's easy access to the Aradena gorge and other walks in the area - I also walked to the Kormokopos cave from Agia Ioannis - a beautiful and gentle climb through an old pine forest and down to Loutra - a 2000 ft drop with stunning views. I also drove to Livaniana along one of the most vertiginous zig-zag roads I have ever driven on - one for the thrill seekers! Although there were a number of tavernas open around the village, I stuck to the Platanos which served beautiful vegetarian dishes using local ingredients - highly recommended. Although some tourists use the local bus services or taxis I found having a hire car extremely useful.
