I arrived early, and was given my room key immediately. There is a lift, which I was glad for as I was on the 6th floor. My room had a tiny balcony, and looked out over the street. The staff were all very polite and efficient. The hotel did not appear to be busy, but it's in a great location, very near the port, and within easy walking distance of the centre, and the castle. The breakfast was adequate; I would have liked to see alternative milk (such as oat or soya) on offer. It was all fresh however, and there was a reasonable variety for all tastes.
With a panoramic view of the Gulf of Patras, Hotel Adonis occupies a central position overlooking the harbour and the town. Free Wi-Fi is available throughout the hotel.

Nice and charming city, with typical architecture for cities in Greece, all buildings almost the same size and very close to each other with narrow streets and sidewalks (looks chaotic and cute at the same time). Lots of cafes and restaurants in the city center. Visited for the New Year and were surprised how everything was decorated, every street, square, tree... Do not miss the fortress and the view from there.
Sunset is great as the city is oriented to the west.
Also highly recommend to visit Archaia Olympia (where Olympic games in ancient Greece were held) which is 1.5 hours away by car.
Be careful in the traffic in the city center as it is very chaotic, during 5 days experienced several cases where cars just did not stop on a red light (when for pedestrians was green!).
Another negative side - extremely expensive fee for driving over the bridge if entering the city from north (14.7 eur per car for one direction!)

Patra is a wonderful city, bustling and peaceful at the same time. We drank very delicious Greek coffee in quite a few cafes. The castle offers a wonderful view of the city. We tasted great wines at Achaia Clauss.

Patra is the key location for any traveler who wants to mix sunbathing days with history lessons experiences. One can easily get to more than 5 beaches located nearby, all with crystal clear waters and either pebbles or sand, where sunbeds can be found. At the same time, there are multiple other historical locations that can be visited (Epidavros, Delphi, Ancient Olimpia, temple of Apollo, Micene, etc.). All the small villages along the coast offer exquisite views and interesting things may be learnt from them (see Nafpaktos and Lepanto)

Patras is worth visiting for its architecture and night life. There are some very good restaurants too, we ate in Prego in the old city and is a quirky restaurant with excellent Mediterranean dishes. Stroll around the pedestrian areas and you will be stunned by the liveliness of the city. Stop for a drink at Treli Rodia an old time favourite and speak to the owner Alexis to learn about the Patras he has experienced

Patras is the third largest city in Greece, it is a very lively place and has many young people. There are ferries to all the Ionian Islands from Patra and nearby Killini. Patras is best known for its Rio-Antirio bridge. It is a real pleasure to swim on one of the beaches near the bridge and watch the huge mountains across the road.
I stayed in Patras because I arrived on the ferry several hours late and didn't want to go on to my planned destination at that point. I had a wonderful dinner at the restaurant as well as a great breakfast. Whether you stay there or not, the restaurant is amazing. It's one of those places where you can have creative, delicious meals at better than reasonable prices because it's in a town not known for its cuisine. And the hotel is great as well. The staff took wonderful care of me.
We had a pleasant stay in Patras. The hotel room was clean and well furnished. The breakfast was also not bad. The staff was polite and simpatic. The hotel is located close to the old port of Patras where you can cool down during the hot summer days and have a drink. Nice view from the room terrace to the gulf of Patras and to the mountain. The pedestrian street Riga Fereou is 2min walk from the hotel and has plenty of shops, bars, restaurants and coffees to offer.
Hidden Gem in Patras Greece! Loved staying at Villa Alexandros! The hosts were very accommodating, kind, and easy to communicate with. The villa was absolutely BEAUTIFUL, spotless, and spacious! The barbecue outside was quite a sight, and the view was breathtakingly stunning. The infinity pool is lovely and perfect for children, families and friends. The area is also peaceful, and has a refreshing breeze. Definitely recommend and hope to be back very soon!
Superb location , the sea view was magnificent. The staff were friendly, helpful and very approachable. The experience was more than expected. I highly recommend this hotel to everyone and they won't be disappointed. The view , bar and the pool from the roof garden is one of the best in Patras.
The hotel 's location is very close to the center of Patra which is really convenient. The staff was excellent, our room was clean and beautifully decorated and had everything you need. The bed was super comfortable. We felt welcome and we will definitely stay again!

Absolutely beautiful room - the bathroom was fantastic and so was the view of the Garden. The restaurant in the hotel was one of the best meals we had in Greece. Incredible stay - we will be returning to the Bold Type Hotel when we stay in Patras again!
There was everything a family would need. Air conditions in every room, washing machine, kitchen with all appliances and tv in every room!!!
Also available iron and hair dryer.
If we every need to visit Patra again and stay we will definitely book here.
A really 4 star hotel in Greece. We traveled a lot and very few that have 4 stars are really at a 4 star west European level. This one is. Very comfortable, clean and good food on a great roof top terrace. The bar is also classic and chic :)
I liked the facilities of the hotel in general and especially the sixth floor where breakfast is served. The view was astonishing!
Also breakfast was delicious and more than average for a 4 star hotel. I really enjoyed it!!
We were upgraded to a sea view. The view was awesome. The room and Hotel was modern. Free parking. There were a lot of cafes near by. seemed to be a younger crowd. We found a very nice Restaurant for dinner down the street.
Exceptional Hotel, exceptional staff. Very clean, meeting all COVID requirements.
This is our second stay at The Moxy and will be staying again when next in Patras.
