Castello Boutique Resort & Spa - Adults Only, hotel in Neápolis

This 5-star resort is situated in the beautiful seaside village of Sissi.

This is an exceptional hotel! The staff were always smiling and helpful and kind. They quickly remember who you are and your preferences. The whole hotel is immaculately clean and rooms cleaned every day. Our room was fantastic, 102 and we were so pleased to get the sun on the pool all day long, if you are lucky enough to get 101 you'll get a bit extra on the side too. I have never had such a comfortable bed in Europe, soft and huge! The pool area is large, and there are plenty of beds and space. Breakfast is a huge selection of both continental, Greek, and cooked options. We didn't eat dinner here as there are so many restaurants around the hotel we chose to eat out every night. Lunch options were very good, though, and we enjoyed a club sandwich and Ceasar salad. There is also a supermarket right next door, which is handy. In the evening, when we got back, we enjoyed a cocktail at the bar with other guests, and they are excellent cocktails! I would have no hesitation to book here again. A heads up if you come at easter, it is right next to a church and they have a big build up, there is a lot of prayers on the speaker which go on for hours and days and one day the bells rang every 15 seconds for almost the whole day until late at night. It's part of the cultural experience, but if noises bother you, maybe go the week after Easter. It could get a bit much at times.

The host was absolutely lovely and very kind to let us check out later then normal, since we had to catch a late ferry. The accomodation is very spacious! It was very clean and well maintained. Also it's a luxury to have constant hot water and the amount of outdoor space is just wonderfull. The whole area was fenced, so it was easy to safely private park the motorcycles.

The hotel is in an outstanding location for a visit to Aghios Nikolaos: on the front overlooking the bay and with a view to the central lake and a 5 minutes walk from it. The room was clean with a very comfortable bed and regular changing of towels. The municipal car park (free) was a few minutes away. Breakfast as buffet style and comprehensive. Our stay was made special by the warm welcome and attention throughout of Joanna on the desk and Alison, the dining and bar manager. We have no hesitation to recommend the Hotel Port7 to anyone proposing to stay inAg Nik.

I have been to Crete many times and always stopped in Neapolis on the way to the Lasithi plateau. Decided this time to stay in Neapolis as I liked the town so much. Previous stays were in Elounda or Agios. I would definitely stay in Neapolis again as I don't go for beaches and prefer the real crete. Elounda is only a short drive away as is Agios but it was great to get back to Neapolis after visiting those resorts and get back to the calmness of village life. Anyone wanting to see the real Crete should stay here and visit some of the outlying villages especially Limnes ( 10 min drive away ) where you can try some wonderful Cretan cuisine at a fraction of the price you will pay in one of the tourist resorts.
