Quiet town, close to many nice beaches with fine sand. Suitable for families with children. There is a large children's playground in the center of town, a great bakery across the street. The bakery offers great coffee and a variety of baked goods and ice creams. There are several good Greek restaurants. The sea food was fresh and very tasty.

A small village, no big hotels nearby, so no crowds of tourists - just local ones and inhabitants of the apartments and small (1-2-3 storage) apart-hotels. Sandy beaches, sufficiently clean, empty on working days. Probably more filled on the weekends by the citizens of Thessaloniki. 25 min drive to the airport, 10 min drive to the highway. Excellent place for a quite family vacation.

Nea Iraklia is a small village.

Nea Iraklia is a small village. It is the right place to calm down. It is directly at the sea. Still the beach is not very clean because there are many grasses from plants growing in the sea, but it is okay for swimming. There are small markets and shops in the center as well as restaurants and a coffee shop, but if you have an accommodation not close to the center you will need a car to get there.

Location is pretty isolated and is quite well covered with all facilities and necessities, one might have on holiday vacation. it is necessary to have your own transportation facility, because otherwise in summer is quite problematic to walk km or two for reaching some of the needed facilities.
