Be careful what you wish for. The balcony was tiny and the view of the sea just a glimpse through buildings but they were there. Room was comfortable enough and we slept reasonably. Very central small hotel with exceptionally good breakfast. Satisfactory parking approximately 250 meters from the hotel. Very good strong Wi Fi. Good value for money.
Esperides Hotel is located in Myrtos, on the outskirts of Ierapetra, only 200 metres away from the beach. It offers sunny rooms with Wi-Fi, a traditional Cretan tavern, 2 bars and a pool.

The position of the hotel is amazing, very calm with no other houses around, but in 2 minutes you are on the beach and in the center with many tavernas, cafes and supermarkets. also the outside area of the hotel is so beautiful with lots of tables, flowers, a swimming pool with a stunning view on the cretan landscape of trees and mountains. the owner alexandros is very friendly, as i am trying to learn greek he was organizing to give me a greek book. the room very clean and nice view, good shower, comfortable bed. i would always come back to esperides if i go to myrtos.

This accommodation is underrated as there are apartments inside not hotel rooms of 16 square metres. A studio means 2 rooms: bedroom and living room. You have a kitchen that is fully equipped but who would want to cook when the food is incredible in all the restaurants and terraces outside. I prepared 2 teas and that's it, I haven't touched anything else from the kitchen. Ioanna is very nice and kind, there was a bottle of raki inside and some bread for a small breakfast. We enjoyed the balcony in the morning to its fullest.
Overlooking the Mediterranean Sea, Big Blue Studios Myrtos is situated in the lovely village of Myrtos, in south Crete.

Excellent location on the edge of the village overlooking the sea. Lovely garden inhabited by numerous friendly cats. Makes a very good base for exploring the surrounding area on foot, with great walks along the coast and through the olive groves.
Kastro Studios & Apartments are located 150 metres from the sea, in Mirtos village. The complex is set in a lovely 2,000 square metre garden and features a swimming pool and a library.

The pool garden is lovely! In november everything was blooming and we picked fresh fruits straight from the trees. Pool is very good for families with children, as it has at least 4 areas of different depths from very shallow to over 2m, and fences around it. Helpful staff.
Situated 300 metres from Mirtos Beach in Southern Crete, Mirtopolis offers self-catered accommodation with views of the sea, mountains and olive trees, 70 metres above Mirtos Village and sea level.

Isolated location, very clean when we arrived, nice outdoor space, very quiet (we were alone for most of the stay), pleasant hosts. Amazing views. Great beach close-by, at walking distance (about 10 mins).
Mala Villa is situated in Ierapetra, one of the most graphic mountainous villages, on the slopes of Diktis, in the prefecture of Lasithi. Luxury meets the true Cretan beauty in the imposing Mala...

Villa Irida is located right in the centre of the quiet little village of Psari Forada. It is a place ideal for relaxing and exploring the unknown and unexpected beauty of Southern Crete.

Close to the beach. We traveled in October and found very little of the Greek charm you would expect from the pictures and a small village setting.
Set in Psari Forada, within a few steps of Sidonia Beach, Stella's Beach House offers accommodation with air conditioning. This beachfront property offers access to a balcony and free WiFi.
Located within 40 km of Lake Voulismeni and 39 km of Panagia Kera Church (in Kritsa), OMythos offers rooms with air conditioning and a private bathroom in Míthoi.

Very well appointed in a very quiet private situation overlooking a lovely valley and mountains opposite, a continental type breakfast put in villa and updated provisions, on arrival our excellent hosts Susanne and Manolis made us very welcome without intrusion meeting us in Mirtos as we a had a late flight and arrived at dusk and we followed them up to the villa.
Mirtos is a small, very friendly village. Great tavernas and bars. Several local shops for necessities. Lovely beach but sea can be a bit rough at times. A trip up to the villages in the mountains is a must. Have travelled around crete for 30 years but the past 7, been coming here. Mirtos has stolen our hearts !!

An excellent little village which combines sea and mountain activities. Relaxing place with a huge beach with trees. But please discover Myrtos on foot! So many paths start in this village, some of them are easy, around nearby hills; some you need to carry extra water to visit Mithi village or Sarakinas gorge. There is the Minoan settlement of Pyrgos and much more. We will surely come back to the beautiful village of Myrtos full of magnolia trees.

I liked Mirtos when it wasn't so full.
I also liked the fact that they try to discourage card entering the village so it's safer for padestrians.
Unfortunately, it has become very popular and it's too small to accommodate the amount of visitors that it gets.

Mirtos is a small village, that we feel, is unspoiled by tourism. There are several tavernas, all serving delicious food. A few small bars have greek music nights. If you are looking for night clubs or kareoke nights, this is not the village for you. But, it is our favourite !!!

A charming & pretty small coastal town with plenty of good tavernes and a pleasant beach, but in a normal year with full occupancy would be very overcrowded.
La Sera is a good taverna with exceptional house wine. O Platanos was sadly full. Everything easy walking distance but streets too narrow to want to drive in.
A good base to explore from.
It was such a treat to wake up to the spectacular view every morning! The property is on top of a hill so the views are incredible if you are lucky enough to stay in one of the Bay View villas (were were in #3). This was a great space for our family of 3 and the town of Myrtos is fantastic - friendly with a choice of great restaurants and a lovely beach.
You will need good shoes to get up and down the track into town which is steep and rocky but you can also take the road which is twice the distance.
It was our second time staying here, and hopefully not the last. It's located just a few steps from the beach, all stores, restaurants and the pharmacy are also right next to the hotel. The hosts are very friendly and always go the extra mile to make you feel welcome and comfortable throughout your stay. Our room had everything we needed, with exceptionally comfortable beds. And the breakfast is amazing! :)
The welcome, the help, the care taken with everything. A lot of thought has gone into the interior of the apartment, especially the bathroom which is suitable for so many disabilities. No expense spared. I was able to hire Kastro’s new mobility scooter allowing me to see everything, go out for an evening meal etc. Many thanks especially to Manos and Vicki.
The hotel is right in the middle of Myrtos with everything a very short walk away.
Its a basic hotel with good value including an excellent and full breakfast.
The family were friendly and helpful.
The room was very comfortable and provide all we needed
The apartment is very well located, just on the seafront and close to all facilities. Large and well equipped leaving room and mainly large and superb balcony. And, of course, Myrtos is really a great place!
We enjoyed our stay in the Thalassa Apartments!
The apartment was very clean and equipped with more than what is needed for a pleasant stay. Very friendly and helpful personnel. Nice location with grocery shop, lots of restaurants and Caffès in walking distance. Very close to the beach of Myrtos too!
The app, although tiny, had its own charm. Beach front locations. In high season I recommend it for 2-3 night.
Very nice and helpful staff.
Sarakinas Gorge is located near Myrtos, if you like mountain hiking you have to visit this place :)
After several times of staying in apartments in Myrtos, we stayed in Hotel Myrtos and had very pleasant experience. All praise for the hospitality.
Thanks a lot to you Jana and your lovely family!
Great location close to centre of the lovely Myrtos and beach. Staff friendly and helpful. Good clean pool and pool area. Breakfast was varied and good for the price. Plenty of car parking spaces
Lovely apartment to discover beautiful Myrtos. Everything was perfect.
The host was so kind and shared with us tips to discover the village.
We hope to come back soon :)
