It was a great location to rest and wait for our ferry, as we went in Kefalonia. The breakfast exceeded our expectations, you could see the quality in every food variety. The host was also really friendly and could talk English and Romanian really well.

It is a family business of very friendly and helpful brothers. There is elevator access to the upstairs. Very good value for money. Rooms are ok, beds are clean, towels are changed daily, maybe the carpet should be replaced. In the bathroom there is shower gel in a dispenser. The hotel is well heated. Breakfast is good, it includes local products, olives, spinach pie, cheese pie, soup, sausages, jam, cheese, maybe more vegetables would be needed. The rooms have balconies with table and chairs, the view is beautiful even on rainy or foggy days. The warm welcome of the hosts made us feel excellent.
Located 250 metres from the central square of Metsovo village, Asteri Metsovou offers traditional accommodation with stunning views of Pindos Mountains from their windows or balcony.

We stayed here for one night on our way to Kefalonia and it was the best choice. The hotel is very cosy, very quiet, the room was perfectly clean and the beds were so comfortable, even the children’s. The breakfast was simple yet fulfilling, with home made jam, eggs from the hens they grow. The parking was a plus as the streets in Metsovo are quite small and steep. The host was super nice, the conversation with her were so joyful and she gave us a lot of visiting tips. She spoke Romanian. We had the chance of learning about this beautiful town of Greece that was inhabited by aromani, a part of Greece that was unknown to us, and it was beautiful!

Metsovo is a small village in the mountains used as a skii resort during winter. It reminds me of an Austrian ski resort with wooden framed buildings and colourful plants outside and cobblestone pathways. Very romantic and picturesque. There are hikes and mountain biking trails and day trips to go see. One night was not long enough. The area is renowned for its locally made cheeses and wine, and meat. Also famous for its wooden artifoand homemade textiles

Picturesque village, everything withing walking distance.
Picturesque village, everything withing walking distance.
Ideal for families, offering a new playground, huge running and playing areas between the trees and next to the mountain view (Averofeios Kipos and the outdoor space of the central church)- however not stroller friendly as the streets are traditionally stone paved.
Withing ~1 hour drive you will find lakes, waterfalls, mountains, walking paths and other traditional villages.
The food, pies, cheeses, wine, tsipouro of Metsovo are a must try! And the prices are fair.
Believe it or not, this “meat” eating village is great for vegetarians as well, you’ll find many delicious and traditional options!
The clean air of Metsovo will refresh you!
So much intact nature though means that you ll also get mosquitoes (in spring and summer) so come prepaired.

Metsovo is a busy tourist resort with a great selection of tavernas and pretty buildings to enjoy. Parking can be difficult so try to book a hotel with parking. Very steep roads so difficult for those who are unsteady on their feet.

I was travelling from Tzoumerka and
Zagoria and followed people’s advised to visit Metsovo village and stay around overnight to explore the area when visiting Meteora. I found the village extremely touristy with not much to offer. It is larger than the typical beautiful villages we have visited along our route without character or appeal. If I was planning my trip again, I would stay the night in Tzoumerka or anywhere else and skip the village all together.

Ideal for those who love mountain air, Alpine conditions,...
Ideal for those who love mountain air, Alpine conditions, unspoilt forests and outdoors sports ans activities. There's a skiing piste just outside Metsovo and miles of mountains, valleys and local fauna and flora where you can forget about city life and daily stresses.
Although very touristy in certain occasions, this unique village keeps a charm of bygone days, a distinct identity, foods and still the disappearing Aromanian or Vlach language which is steeped in History. Local pastas, dishes and cheeses are amazing and distinct.
This might be the best place I've stayed in Greece so far, I can't even describe how blown away I was by our super-friendly host. Her recommendations were top notch. The loft itself is unbelievable cozy, offering a beautiful view over the mountains and Anilio, the nearby village. Within walking distance to everything you need, including a local market (Fridays, as far as I can tell). Tons of places to hike, I went on Ursa Trail with the regret of not having more time to explore. Beds were perfect, I slept like a rock.
Very good facilities, we had a spacious “junior suite” with balcony overlooking the mountains. The hotel is build in the middle of nowhere with spectacular views from the pool, the restaurant and the bar. Lovely spa with jacuzzi and sauna. Excellent restaurant with local specialties and amazing service and friendliness. Very good coctails and longdrinks in beautiful bar. I can imagine it must be very charming with the overseized fireplace in winter
The apartment is very spacious, spotlessly clean and offers a stunning view. The kitchen is well equipped. It was also very quiet. The location is a bit south of the busy center which means no parking or noise issues. It‘s only 6 minutes on foot to the central square. The host George is just the best! He went out of his way to help me get there and helped with parking my car. He even greeted me with a welcoming dish when he learned I was hungry.
- real local mountain atmosphere hotel (fireplace, wood everywhere…) and with all the confort you can need
- very helpful and friendly staff (family run hotel, which creates a very nice feeling)
- out of the busy center at a very nice walking distance
- easyness to park your car next to the hotel (it can be difficult to park in the village some times, so this is a nice plus)
- the amazing view of the wonderful Greek mountains!
Good job!!
My family and I stayed one weekend at the Acropolis Hotel and we really enjoyed it.. The hotel owner and his wife were very kind and warm people.. They offered us toast and milk for our children even though breakfast was not included..
They also guided us for everything we can do in Metsovo.. They made our stay there very easy.. Thank you very much. I hope to come again to your beautiful and warm hotel..☺️☺️☺️
Beautiful boutique hotel in charming Metsovo. We would have enjoyed staying even longer! The view of the mountains from the balcony was fantastic and the room looked and felt luxurious. The property is located at the end of the street, away from the center of downtown, so it is nice and quiet. The lobby offers a beautiful spot to enjoy a glass of wine. The owners even lit the center fireplace for us to enjoy.
The hotel was very close to Metsovo Centre, beautiful view from the balcony. The room was very clean and warm. The owners were amazing and very helpful with their suggestions on how best to spend the time in Metsovo and round it. Breakfast was great and there was free parking. As a family we enjoyed our stay there very much and on our next opportunity will definitely go back.
Right in the centre of Metsovo. Immaculately clean, friendly staff and ample breakfast. We couldn't ask for more. It seemed on the day of our stay there were few guests at the hotel, nevertheless we were offered freshly made filo pastry and sponge cake apart from the cold cuts, jam, honey, omelette, butter and drinks. It was lovely and felt like a home-hosted stay.
Very comfortable, large rooms. Excellent bar and restaurant. Fantastic views and great staff. The concierge, (Petro) was friendly, helpful and a great source of information on the local area. Prior to our arrival, the receptionist (Sofia), organised a truffle hunting experience with a local truffle hunter, which was a highlight of our entire holiday in Greece.
Metsovo is an absolutely gorgeous town, nothing that you could imagine when you talk about Greece. Filoxeni was a great stopover to the islands, good value for.the money. Great owners, very good food nearby. We were looking only for a place to rest on the way, so for the expectations we received way better.
Excellent place to stay! Great price and awesome owners and staff at this family run hotel! The hotel is old, but very well kept and very clean. The beds were comfortable and the bathroom is clean. Will be back to Metsovo and at this hotel again! Excellent value for your money!!!
Metsovo is close to the Zagoria National Park. It has a sporty atmosphere with plenty of bars and restaurants. The hotel with a traditional interior style is close to the central square. Parking in the garage underneath the hotel.
Beautiful hotel, located in the center of beaiMetsovou village. Walking distance to many nice restaurants. Yorgos at the front desk was especially welcoming and helpful. The intimate Spa is a nice touch and extra bonus.
The great view from the room (even from the bathroom). The staff was amazingly kind and gave us all the info needed.
The parking lot was at the bottom of the hotel which was great.
Everything was just perfect.
Friendly staff, good breakfast, nice location with great views. There is no parking at the hotel, but you can leave the car in a parking space nearby. Tavernas and shops are very close.
Very cozy hotel and rooms.
Warmly decorated, warm welcoming and hosting by Nicolas and all staff members.
Historical winery of well known family in Greece who produce excellent wines.
Atmospheric Hotel, decor reflects the region with it Mestovo traditonal woollen pillows and catpets. Family run, very friendly and welcoming by Ourania, Aristides, and son Vassilis.
The hotel is on the main street jnto Metsovo. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The room had a mountain view and was clean an comfortable. The hotel has parking underneath.
Very surprisingly beautiful alpine location in Greece. Booked by accident thinking it was closer to Meteora. Stay turned into one of the great surprises of our Greek vacation.
Breakfast buffet was outstanding. The private parking in the garage is an advantage. Very nice and helpful team. Best shower we had in Greece this week.
