Grecotel Marine Palace & Aqua Park, hotel in Melidhónion

Grecotel Marine Palace & Aqua Park is an environmentally awarded hotel featuring 6 swimming pools and an aqua park with slide and fountain.

We chose this resort because it had a wonderful sandy beach area for swimming and an included water park for the kids. Because the water park is private to the resort, the lines were very short even during our peak season visit, so each day my kids had their fill within 1.5 hours, which allowed us to enjoy the beach and pools. Since the location is very remote, the all-inclusive package/meals made everything so easy. We found the food to have lots of variety and great quality. Our room was at the very back of the resort, next to the water park, but we still had sweeping sea views, and everything on the property was kept beautifully clean at times.

Blue Bay Lifestyle - ex Bali Blue Bay, hotel in Melidhónion

Set on an elevated position in the fishing village of Bali, Blue Bay Lifestyle - ex Bali Blue Bay is a 3-star hotel offering rooms with panoramic Cretan Sea views.

We have spent an amazing 11 nights at Bali Blue Bay. We stayed in a Privilege room with stunning views over the sea. The room was spacious, clean, with a big comfy bed. There was also a large balcony where me and my family sat to look at the stunning view. Breakfast was wonderful and they had a wide selection of food. The location was perfect. We had a relaxing time by the swimming pool + jacuzzi. The staff was outstanding. All staff were excellent- so polite and so charming. We were positively surprised by the cake they made for Marcelo's birthday (my grandson). Thank you so much! Everything was on the high level.

A quaint village with tavernas and supermarkets. Locals were friendly. Next to Melidoni caves very well worth exploring. Food at the local taverna “Olive and Carob” was fresh produce and well looked after... ice creams delicious 😋 a short drive to the motorway and access to all of Crete

The village of Melidoni is only 400 people but felt like it is much fewer. It is not touristy, very authentic Greek village, full of tragic history, beautiful stone buildings, some half ruined. It had very pleasant, authentic atmosphere. They have 2 restaurants and 2 grocerry stores. Reptilium and Melidoni caves nearby. The village, of course, doesnt offer that many attractions but living in Melidoni village for 2 weeks gave us and the kids much needed relaxation and very unique experiene.
