Kissamos is an excellent home base for trips to Balos and also for Elafonisi, much closer than Chania. There are also many restaurants along the beach in walking distance. We didn't swim there but it is possible. You might consider Falasarno for a few days for a beautiful beach with surf!

It’s a small town but we could enjoy walking along the beautiful beaches. There are some supermarkets so that we could get fresh vegetables and also fresh fish which were really tasty. There are a lot of buses and they are usually very on time. We could make our schedule smoothly and everything went super!

The place is very quiet and relaxing, especially during the dusk & the night where you can have your dinner in the big balcony & view all the stars in the sky, after a full day at the nearby beaches. Is a perfect location to visit west Crete, 15-20 min from the amazing Falassarna beach and 20 min from the parking place of the famous Balos beach. Also, it is less than 60 min to visit the unique Elafonisi beach.
I would definitely choose this villa again in my next visit to west Crete!

Kissamos was really chilled, laid-back, peaceful and friendly. If you're looking for a wild party scene, it's definitely not the place to come! But if you want tranquility and to feel safe whilst soaking up sun, nature, and local culture, it's perfect
I can only rate this place five stars out of five, but that won't be enough. Everything exceeded our expectations: the location, very convenient to reach the most beautiful beaches of the island, the room on the third floor with an incredible sea view, but above all the friendliness of the family that owns the hotel, who made us feel at home. If you have the chance do not miss to enjoy a romantic dinner at the restaurant, great quality food and nice service.
Kissamos and this hotel will remain among the best memories of our vacation.
Absolutely delightful in every respect. unlike so many places now, this is truly someone’s home and the hosts treat you as honored guests. The facilities are impeccably maintained and the decor is lovely. The pool is stunning and much better than in the pictures. The location near kissamos is very convenient and less than an hour drive to the most famous beaches on the island, but within minutes of many other nice beach options. But honestly you may never want to leave this amazing oasis!
We absolutely loved our stay at Mesogios! The room was great and had a lovely ocean view. Our host was amazing and gave really great recommendations for the area and was happy to provide anything we needed. We really enjoyed the breakfast each morning with the amazing view to the pool and ocean. The hotel was perfectly located to many of the great beaches in the area, we enjoyed Phalasarna the most and went there almost every day while we stayed in Kissamos.
Hotel is easy to reach from Chania airport (less than 1 hour by car) and it’s well located near the best beaches in Crete.
Stefania and the staff are wonderful, you’ll easily feel at home.
Rooms are big enough and equipped with all essential comfort.
Breakfast is ok, continental and Cretan are both very good to start your day.
Swimming pool is nice and totally free of charge.

The hotel lies directly on the main road of Kissamos and it offers parking spots right behind the corner. We really enjoyed our stay and the staff people have always been professional and kind, ready to assist us with suggestions in every day decisions about what to see in Crete. The position of the hotel is crucially great if you are planning to visit the most beautiful beaches of the island.
It was exactly what we were looking for: silent, not crowded place (suburbs of Kissamos), quiet beach in 100m from the villas, nice restaurant (Ble). At the same time close to some of the most demanded places to visit while on Crete: Balos lagoon, Chania town, Elafonisi beach, Falasarna beach, wineries. Delicious and inexpensive food. Tasty wine. Exceptional color of clean and warm sea.
Wonderful view of the sunrise and the sea from the room terrace, king size bed really comfortable, very good breakfast, extremely nice personnel.
The position of the hotel is on my opinion the best in Kissamos and for visiting west Crete; it is closed to the city centre but away from the crowd, with a precious sea view and surrounded by nature.

This hotel was a perfect choice for our vacation. It is very clean, very close to the beach and our host, Kostas, was incredibly helpful and also offered us a free upgrade for a small room with balcony! He gave us tips on what to do, where to eat. Everything was perfect, unfortunately we stayed only 3 night, but we would love to come back!
Perfect place for this money. There were cozy room with comfortable bed and balcony with clothes dryer. The hotel is in the center of Kissamos. Good place for one or two nights for visitors, who travel to the west part of Crete. Reseptionist was very pleasant. She showed us places which we can visit in the west part of Crete.
We had a wonderful holiday in Gramvousa Bay Hotel. Apartment was comfortable and spacious, with new kitchen appliances, extra clean. Location of the house is also excellent, it is near the best beaches in Crete, but outside from the crowd. The owners were welcoming and friendly. I kindly recommend this hotel for holiday.
The hotel manager was really kind, he fixed the light in our room after the regullar hour, printed our boarding pass and knew what to recommend us in the area. We had a balcony with view to the beach wich was amazing.
The room was a bit old but the rest of our stay was great and comfortable.

It’s very clean and everything’s convenient. Staff are always so kind and helpful. The beach is amazing with clear water and sufficient beach armchairs. There are many cute stores in the center of the village which is 12min walk from the hotel.

Great place with perfect terrace with a sea view. Not far away from Balos, one of the best beaches we have seen. Kissamos is a nice place with quite good restaurants. Pepi was very kind and helpful, very fast check-in and check-out.
