We had an unforgettable stay at Katakolo 180 Sea view house.
The house is located on a stunning seemingly endless beach. You literally open the door towards the porch and there are the soft sands and mesmerising sea at your doorstep. Falling asleep with the sound of the sea is yet another great thing about this house.
If you are looking for a calm, relaxing place where you can enjoy the beauty of the beach and sea, this is your place!
The host is great, welcoming, kind and friendly. He was readily answering all our questions.
The house itself is cosy and you feel comfortable and at ease away from your own home.
The kitchen is equipped with all you need in order to prepare your own meals.
Just a couple of minutes by car you can reach Pyrgos or Katakolon with plenty of supermarkets, restaurants and bars.
You can also enjoy your own outdoor sunbeds and umbrella right infront of the house on the beach.

Katakolon is the main port for cruise liners where guests are visiting Olympia and seems geared up largely for this purpose. It is quite a pleasant seaside town but nothing exceptional. When we were there there were no cruise ships in port and it was very quiet. All of the seafront restaurants and bars were open so we had our pick, but a lot of the shops were close for most of the time we were there.
Olympia is about a 30 minute drive from here.

Small city with port for big ship.
Small city with port for big ship. Worth visiting for few days. Close to nice beaches. Shops with beautiful clothes and other things (mostly not cheap, but you can find good deals). Good starting point to Olympia.

The town felt strange to us as it appears to only be set up for cruise ship customers. We did have a great lunch there ( Filia ) the first day but found once the cruise ship left almost everything closed in the town. The second day there was a significant storm and everything remained closed for the day as cruise ship customers did not disembark. There was only one restaurant open for lunch and it was a mediocre very overpriced meal.

We stayed there rather than at Olympia to be near the beach.
We stayed there rather than at Olympia to be near the beach. We did go to the beach and the water was amazing. But the beach itself was full of tire tracks.
The village receives huge cruise ships bound for Olympia and it is one strip of souvenir shops swamped with tourists.
I think we would have been better at Olympia.
Katakolon was a port on our Viking Cruise. We booked a room here at PHEIA instead of going on an expensive cruise excursion. It was so worth it. The hotel is so stylish and the staff is very welcoming and friendly. Great pool. Nice bar. Steps to the beach and the sea. There are beach bars to the left and right as well. It was like being at a beach resort for the day. Everything was very reasonable. It's just a short cab ride from the cruise port. Everyone on the cruise was jealous of our plan.
Stunning set up modern hotel right on beach, enormous cleanest swimming pool with plenty of sun umbrellas, towels and lounges, very peaceful and tranquil atmosphere, bars and restaurants right there.Rooms are exceptionally clean with the huge balconies overlooking the beach equipped with lounges and umbrellas.Sumptious breakfast, lunch and dinner served in the outdoor restaurant. We enjoyed every moment and will be back.Highly recommended
Immaculately clean and well-kept hotel with a great view over the harbour of Katakolo and beyond. The room was great and the bed very comfy. There was a lovely bar and patio area overlooking the harbour which serves drinks and snacks. Breakfast was a typical Greek buffet but there was lots of choice. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Kittens playing at breakfast were an added bonus!
It’s hard to call this a hotel. It’s more like a lovely guest house; a place where you could easily escape to write a book, to think about things or just to relax. The two ladies who run the place were both fantastic and very caring people. If you are considering staying here, don’t hesitate, it is a great place to stay.
We really enjoyed our stay at Villa Georgina. We stayed 2 days to visit Olympia and Katakolo.
Rooms are charming and very comfortable. The garden is beautiful and the swimming pool was well appreciated by our kids.
The owner is really kind and helpfull.
The home made breakfast is very good
Wonderful breakfast with homemade sourdough and sourdough chocolate cake.
We stayed in the Attic room. Owner was friendly. It is a port town and thankfully we were there when the cruise ships were not at port. The hotel is centrally located. can walk to the harbor and harbor cafes.
We loved the location! Such a stunning place for the sunsets, they were the highlight. Breakfast was beautiful with freshly squeezed orange juice. This place is a gem in Greece's crown. Staff were quite friendly especially Vlad at the bar. Thank you for your kind hospitality.
the property absolutely suited our intended purpose. we die not intend to be in the hotel a lot. the room was neat and clean and had a little balcony where we could sit. there is no pool etc so not a family pool vacation. but for us it was ideal. .we were not plan
The house was excellent, large, clean, fully featured, perfectly placed. The host was very friendly and careful. The paddle board was a nice bonus. Very close to the Katakolo Port, where you can find several atractions. Kotsanas Museum very interesting too.
This was a gem amongst all the Greek hotels I have visited.. Modern, clean, comfortable beds and pillows, fresh linen.
We only stayed for 1 night, but did not want to leave. Great sea views as well. Quiet location and quiet rooms.
I absolutely recommend!
The room was modern, clean, quiet, and spacious. It looks like it was recently renovated. The view of the harbor from the balcony was amazing. Breakfast was very good. There is also a cafe/bar operating in the hotel. Easy parking in a parking lot.
Good location near center of Katakolo. Sea view from balcony.
About Katakolo: frequent bus connection to Pirgos and beaches along the way. Very good ice cream at gelateria Maniera. Very good food at tavernas on the beach.
Good simple hotel at the port township.
There is a nice trail uphill few houses before the hotel to explore the peninsula. The staff of the hotel is easygoing. Very good and simple no hassle place.
The hotel should be rated 4 stars easily. The room was huge and very well
equipped, I would say superb. A real porch looking on the olive plantation.
Great place with very efficient staff.
The treatment from the sisters that manage the business was fantastic. They were really nice and helpful. The room was stunning at the level of a 5 star hotel. Thanks for everything
Very nice hotel close to Katakolo center. People at reception are really nice.
Our room for 4 was huge, on two levels, including a kitchen and two balcony!
Very good breakfast
The location is splendid, the hotel is situated in a beautiful bay, with direct access to the beach. Waking up with a view like this was wonderful. The breakfast was very nice.
