We really enjoyed our accommodation in villas Iliachtides. The landscape , the gardens and all the scenery was very beautiful and peaceful and very well decorated. Οutdoor areas of the villas and the pool area were very clean, organised and beautiful. I have never seen such a beautiful garden in my life. The inside of the villa has many conviniences , it is modern and all the areas were very clean. Airconditions are everywhere inside the villa and we had warm water whenever we wanted. We cooked in the kitchen every day because it is spaceful and has all the conviniences. Also there is a dish washer, a laundry and all these things made our life very easy. The parking area is huge and free. The view was amazing as we could see all the ocean and the mountains! It was like a painting. The hostess was very friendly and she helped us a lot. We have already decided to book the villa again next year.

We had a brilliant time at Mary’s. The location in town is perfect - quiet but a stone’s throw from the seafront with shops etc very nearby. Apartment itself has everything needed (even a coffee machine!) and is stylishly and cleanly decorated. Very much appreciated the owners attention to detail and it made for a lovely home away from home while exploring the island. Angela was hugely helpful and welcoming. Thank you!

The hotel is very well situated near the ferry and near the seafront and the many restaurants. It is a family run hotel and the owner Eleni couldn’t have been nicer. Her elderly mother and father were also lovely.
The hotel is basic but very clean and the roof top is a lovely place to sip a glass of wine with a wonderful view.

Strategic location in the middle of the island - everything is close. Quiet and clean village with a good bakery close to the hotel (with breakfasts and a good coffee). And mainly - Antisamos Beach is just 15 minutes drive from Karavomylos. It's for sure the best beach in Kefalonia, don't look for any other. Sun beds for free, restaurant with a great food and a perfect coffee (+ very friendly staff), white pebbles beach and a lot of places for parking.

Karavomylos is a beautiful location by the sea. The thoroughfare has shops and all amenities you would need. The area by the water is just stunning and we cannot recommend it highly enough. Our favourite place to eat is at the Karavomylos Taverna, where Georgios and his staff make you feel very welcome. The food in incredible! Karavomylos is a wonderful location to stay with its proximity to many attractions.

We visited 15-24 October and some restaurants and shops were already closed for the season. But those tavernas/restaurants that were open were excellent. No crowds and very little traffic. Quiet traditional small Greek town with very friendly people. Harbour area is pleasant area to stroll in the evening. Antisamos beach is close by and worth a visit. Pebble beach but clear water very quiet at this time of the year, relaxing. Plenty of tavernas and restaurants, mini-markets and ferry terminal to Ithika. Fiscardo is worth a visit if you can stomach the mountain drive - some very high, narrow and winding roads - beautiful views but not for the feint hearted.

Karavomylos is a lovely village situated on the east coast of Kefalonia, close to and within walking distance of the working port town of Sami, with it lovely restaurants and shops. Close by are areas of natural beauty such as Melissani lake, the ancient city of Same and the new addition of Odysseus zoo land. Horse riding and donkey trekking are available also. Being relatively centrally located makes it a good starting point to explore the island, but if you stay local then there are plenty of beaches to choose from.

A nice quiet seaside place with beautiful views of Ithaca. Easy walk along the beach to Sami for good choice of bars and restaurants. The beach nearer to Sami was very good and you can.use the campsite facilities, including bars and a pool. You can also get buses up the coast to lovely beaches and Agia Effimia. Local taverna amd bakery were great!

It’s on the outskirts of Sami and very quiet - just a church, a bakery, a children’s activity playground (for young children) a mini market and a taverna. The road is very close to the water’s edge, so it’s not exactly a pebble beach but you can sit on the bench and watche the sea and admire Ithaca. It’s about a mile walk along the sea path to Sami.
We ate at Adonis in Adam I and weren’t impressed - it was okay but a bit generic. Mermaid, however, was lovely - fabulous stifado and burger. The local Taverna at Karavomylos did dry Moussaka one night and perfect Moussaks another night, chicken souvlaki that was moist and beautiful with fab chips, and the best stuffed peppers I’ve ever tasted. The bakery in Karavomylos is good enough to eat dessert in - try the orange pie and chocolate pie and their kadafia and baklava. Incredibly good
Perfect location, at the same distance (1h tops) from the main points of interest in Kefalonia.
Wonderful hosts: Despina and Manolis definitely make any stay so much better, with advice, recommendations and chitchatting. Bonus: Despina's delicious breakfast and Manolis' superfresh Greek Mojito - already missing both.
Apartments are very clean, spacious, fitted with everything you may need. We also enjoyed the garden with the little pool and the terrace, with the cozy feeling of a home away from home.
Very nice accomodation. VERY close to Melissani cave and Karavomylos Lake / Taverna. Local bakery and couple of restaurants nearby. Unfortunately there is no market in Karavomylos, you have to go to Sami, which is 2km away (bus, car, or 25mins walk). Clean nice rooms with great seating outside. Host was very nice. There is a beach right upfront the accomodation, but it is more rugged and natural, more proper beach is 10mins away,
Nice clean apartment in a quiet area with a few nice restaurants close by. The host Makis is amazing he can't do enough for you and made our stay special. Because he and his family own a couple of hotels down the street you have access to a nice pool with a bar and sun lounges on the beach. Makis is always behind the bar in Hotel Athina where you can pick up your keys and will help you out with anything.
Beautiful apartment in a great location for experiencing Kefalonia. VERY clean and completly new inside and out. The air conditioning was awesome (hot July days). The bed was the most comfortable we have ever had in a vacation home. This was also true for the twin beds in the 2nd bedroom. But the best part of all was our host, Efi. She is amazing and will make your stay in Kefalonia magical.

The hotel has a nice view and a nice swimming that allow to have a nice rest after a long day of visit or walk.
They gave us advice for visit and a small present for departure.
For once, the breakfast is served in the room with the best view over the sea, not like in most hotels on the ground floors.
Very quiet and restful location, yet nearby shops available (5-10 minutes by car, to Karavomylos and Sami). Enclosed property with controlled parking (natural shadow there). Well furnished kitchen. Courtyard available with garden and an outdoor shower, handy in hot summer/early autumn days. There IS available wi-fi, contrary to the description on booking website.

There’s a great vibe in the hotel due to many happy repeat customer guests and the staff are so friendly and welcoming. You can also use the pool at the sister hotel next door. It’s paradise and I can’t wait to return.
Lovely spacious clean apartment with incredible views and an excellent coffee maker! Hosts were very kind in allowing us a late checkout. Just a short walk from Melissani cave and in a gorgeous, peaceful spot. Karavomylos square was just a few minutes walk away, as were a number of small pretty beaches.
The stuff was AWESOME. Reception, pool bar, breakfast and dinner services, chef all of them. Although the hotel opened for this season the day we checked in there was plenty of kindness and professionalism allover the place. Thank you all for making our staying even more beautiful and luxurious.
