This is our second time visiting Kiani Beach and the first time with our young child. It did not disappoint. The facilities are great and looked after very well. The whole place is very clean. The restaurants offer good choices for all tastes. The staff look after you very well. The VIP upgrade is worth it if you plan on drinking cocktails (3 a day covers the cost) or using the spa or will be a heavy user of the Wi-Fi.

Location is great but we only stayed one night so did not use any facilities or activities. We were upgraded to a larger sea view room with balcony for no charge which was a bonus! The bar shut very promptly at 11.00 which cut off most people who had arrived from uk and were still in a q to check in, and not too pleased about it.

Overall the stay was very good. The rooms were very comfortable and the showers were luxurious. For the price my two day stay was dream. The bathrobes were very nice. The wifi was excellent and the TV set up was also very good.

The owner is a very lovely lady. She even let me stay over the check out time on my last day, which was just perfect! It is by the seaside so the view is very pretty! You can also go to the little greek town center by foot. The beach is also very close and tavernas too. Supermarket is 1min away by car so the location is perfect!

Kalyves is a traditional Cretan seaside town, with so many good & well priced tavernas to choose from. Our favourites were Elena's and Mythos, both right by the sea. The beaches are lovely and clean and not too busy.
We have been visiting Kalyves on and off since 1990 and it really hasn't changed that much in all this time - it has the same charm now as it did then.

Travelled early May and loved the very relaxed feel to the village. Lots of places to eat delicious Greek food all reasonably priced. Lots of shops and supermarkets. Nice sandy beach too. Drinks in the bars were very reasonable and there were bakeries which opened early morning so you can buy freshly made pastries for breakfast. Totally delightful place.

Very friendly working village. Plenty to do and not far to travel to other areas. Easy access to the airport. Very reasonably priced resort. Great sandy beach. Elena restaurant was very good and the owner Adonis, his brother and staff were very friendly. O Mitsos do the best pita gyros. Apicorno is a lovely bar. Go to Coco Deli for their fresh bougatsa which is to die for .

Its difficult to judge as we were there in the off-season and most places were closed. The restaurants that were open were good and very reasonable.
It was nice to walk around and there are a number of walking trails to ther villages - the one we used was a very nice experience.
Nice hotel in the best location in Kalyves, on the beach with dozens of restaurants and cafes at the seashore. The beach is very nice with free sunbeds and it is relatively quiet. We rented a car to explore the island and we enjoyed the free parking lot next to the hotel. Highly recommended to visit Rethymno, beaches in West Crete and of course the city of Chania which is really nearby.
Ioanna and her brother - were excellent hosts and they provided us with really good information and everything always with a big smile.
A pleasant and wonderful stay with very friendly, kind and helpful hosts. The rooms were very clean and equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The pool area is all new and cleaned daily. The garden has a beautiful setting with mountain views and stunning flowers, a perfect place to go and relax! The location is great with the beach, supermarket and Kalyves town all on your doorstep. Our car was hired through our hosts which we would highly recommend. It felt like a home away from home!
Very charming hotel, all rooms different from each other, arranged around a patio with private area outside room or with a balcony. Perfect location at beach, village in 2 minutes walking distance. Easy transport by bus to Chania. Excellent and very helpful staff. Mistrali is perfect both for families with children and for adults looking to relax and enjoy village and beach. This was not our first stay at Mistrali and definitely not our last either!
An unusual and different location for a holiday break. In the very centre of Kalyves amongst the shops and tavernas. Very busy and lively and close to the excellent beaches. You can watch the street theatre from the balcony. The apartment is directly above a good bakers shop and opposite the local open all hours supermarket. All sorts of cafes and tavernas within 50 yards. Plenty of car parking close by next to the sea wall.
Everything! Beautiful villa in a fantastic position for us. Easy walking distance to the beach and able to dip in the sea on our doorstep too. Our hosts provided us with so much and more, couldnt be more welcoming or do too much We know Kalyves well but this find is an absolute gem and we are looking to go back again to stay in this beautiful little villa as soon as we can.
Beautiful apartment with a view of one of the most lovely seas we’ve ever seen. Family run by very kind people. Clean, organized and stocked with everything necessary to cook a nice meal. In addition to all of this, there were boxes full of beach gear and books available for guests to enjoy. Thank you for a memorable trip!!
The apartments are extremely comfortable and has everything you need. They clean on a daily basis and the stuff is great and very responsive. we loved hanging out at the pool in the afternoon! It is a short walk to the beach and the great restaurants of Kalyves. we had a wonderful stay and we’ll definitely be back!
Very good location, great views over the bay and just a short walk down to the beach. Very quiet location with a large lawn with sun loungers. I had stayed here a few years ago, the new owners renovated the place. The kitchen facilities are small, but perfectly adequate. Everything is new and spotlessly clean.
Beautiful, spacious property, well laid out with a lovely pool. Stunning views from the house - can lay in bed and see and hear the sea. Amazing location near to a quiet part of the beach but between two places to get food and drinks. Some tavernas within 10 min walk, a little longer to get to Kalyves.

We loved everything about this house! Beautiful, clean, safe, private and a three minute drive to an amazing beach and fantastic restaurants. Manos was so helpful with information about the island and questions we had about the house. Nothing negative to say. Highly recommend!!!!

It is really close to the beach, 20steps., free umbrellas. Beautiful garden, nice pool, very kind stuff. Big supermarket in a 100 meters, with a bus stop to Chania or Almyrida. The big, well equipped appartman was clean and big, with sea an garden view.
Fantastic place just a short walk to a lovely beach spot. Nice location just outside of Kalives. So we could get away from the traffic of the beach goers.
